Is anyone familiar with Maurette Brown Clark? A tremendous gospel vocalist and pianist, "How I Feel" (1998) is the CD I'm playing now. I have two of her CDs; don't know if she has more out. She's not a top "name," and she doesn't have a flashy style; but she's got a real clean, authentic (alto?) voice and style.

My group sings "Everything." Last time we rehearsed it, the Glory swept through rehearsal so strong it was ridiculous! Powerful song...

She just did her 1st live recording. Yes, she's a bonafide alto. You can also find her on both of Timothy Wrights Mass Choir Projects- "Come Thou Almighty King" and the new one with "For The Rest of my Life" on it (the name of the project escapes me right now.) She's also a lead vocalist with Vision (Richard Smallwood's group). She also has a song on a compilation CD called "Worship In His Presence Live." I'm sure you ALL know the song..
I just wanna praise You
Forever
And Ever
And ever....

Awww shucks...I'm in YET another choir...lol Where y'all need me? I teach, direct, lead and sing soprano (when I want to), alto and tenor...lol
Whatchoo know about Ted and Sheri? They can sing their ABC's for me and I will cut a step! They have also done time with O'landa Draper & The Associates. John P. Kee & New Life and Donald Lawrence & Tri-City. I don't believe Sheri had been with Richard Smallwood. That's just Ted, and that was only on the last Vision project. Ted and Richard are both DC based. However, Sheri sang background vocals on the Kim Burrell Live project. Ted is on the Bishop Eddie Long and New Birth Cathedral project.
BtB- Come up off of that Bishop Brown CD sweetie...Maurette ain't a new artist! lol
Can y'all tell by now I love gospel???
