it's the same as my lj username, and i decided on that because:

vee = my nickname (for vanessa)

mers = acronym for Men Everywhere Really Suck

(yes, i'm quite mature)

it's evolved into a one word nickname for me, but it started as me trying to be cute and funny

A variation of the word Phoenix and it's based on the mythological Phoenix bird. I was always awed by the fact that the bird bursts itself into ashes and then comes back to life. Very awesome in Harry Potter 2.
