Josh's album is great!! The next single is going to be "Everybody Wants You" which was originally named "Being Good" I liked it better that way...but he said the label wanted to change it. I know this album hasn't been out long but I am anxious for him to put out another album...he has soo many good songs that some of them will never make it on an album. On the album some of my fav's are Travellin', Poker Face, and Small Town Boy...but then again I've been listening to these songs for over 2 years.

yeah, there are a lot of great tracks on "waiting for my rocket to come". definately agree on tonight, not again (i have an awesome live version of this i downloaded that was the first time he ever played it, about a week after he wrote it), on love in sadness, and i absolutely adore i'll do anything and too much food. however, i personally think his best work is the stuff thats not on the album. it makes me angry when people bash him based on the remedy.
so I picked up Josh's album this weekend..found it on sale at the record store in the mall for $6.99 (which didn't matter, i would have bought it whether it was on sale or not). i'm listening to it right now, its pretty good..my only problem is that i think he sounds too much like john mayer. that's not necessarily a bad thing..but if i wanted to listen to john mayer i would have bought his new cd.. i think i need to listen to it a little bit longer before i can give an opinion on it.

Josh gets the John Mayer comparison a lot. I personally think that Josh's music has more of a southern rock sound. Especially on the track's Follow you, Angeles, and Faces. Then of course there's small town boy. There's always going to be a comparison because it's essentially in the same category of music and they have the same producer (John Alagia--also producer for Mraz and Dave Matthews) so the are all comparable. I think when Josh's second album comes out his the differences between Mayer's second album and his second album will show. But yeah I guess sounding like Mayer isn't a bad thing...I am a Mayer fan as well..so is Josh. But he wrote nearly all of those songs before he's ever heard of Mayer. But yeah I think the more you listen to it the more you'll see the differences.

Its not so much his music itself that reminds me of mayer so much as his voice. I did notice that Alagia was the producer, so I did attribute some the similiarity to that. I've been listening to the album all day and have been enjoying it, but I can't really say which tracks I like because its been minimized and its not very loud
