Age?
I am a 26 year old undergraduate interested in becoming a part of Delta Sigma Theta. Honestly, am I too old?

You're never too old. I have a 63 year old line sister!
Perform continuous public service in your community; be of good character; have your academic portfolio in order; and find out what the Deltas are doing in your community and on your campus. Good Luck

You are never to old to become a member of any organization!!! If you want this, pursue it with all your heart!!! There are people I have met simce becoming a Delta who have just become one at the age of fifty!! Girl, age ain't nothing but a number!!! Don't let it restrict you!!!
Good Luck with your pursuit!!!

Hey Nique,
You know we have three things in common :
1. Interest in Delta
2. Undergraduate student
3. Age
The same question used to ponder in my mind also, but I finally came to the realization, as Crimson Tail stated, "age ain't nothing but a number". Keep doing your public service, and try to exceed the criteria.
I am also a strong believer in "your never too old". So I say if it's in your heart, pursue it. Remember to keep God first, and pray about it, 'cause I'm praying....everyday !!!!
Good luck & GOD Bless

You are NEVER too old to become a member of our organization. My prophytes mom JUST crossed Alumnae Chapter in Northern California. We were sooooo proud of her.
Just be dedicated to the standards of service to the community and you can't go wrong.

Don't cha worry about the age. My line sister was 31, with a child. No one will care about your age. They will care about your dedication, hardwork, public service, character, etc...

DirectorDST99,
Please forgive me if this is a dumb question or if it is something that shouldn't be of my concern, but....
You stated that you had a LS that was 63 years old, did you become a member of Delta Sigma Theta through undergrad or grad?
Again, if I overwent my boundry, disregard the question!! It will be well taken!!

Positive Kay, I became a member through an alumnae chapter.
And my mom (52) is student at University of Memphis (Epsilon Kappa Chapter) and wants to pledge..LOL...I recommended that she wait, not because of her age but because she's graduating soon. LOL Now, it's up to her to do whatever she wants.
