Question Service

Sorry if this question is kinda dumb but.. what is the difference between community service and public service. I was always told that to pledge anything you have to do some kind of service but i was not told which one.

WHOA!!!

DirectorDST99- I'm glad I stumbled upon this one!!!

Monique-It's funny that you should ask this question because I posted a reply to a similar question not long ago. But I'll be more than happy to reiterate:

"COMMUNITY SERVICE IS NOT PUBLIC SERVICE."

Case Scenario:If someone is arrested ( the lower classifications of crimes), and as a result, is given probation, usually some form of community service is mandated by the criminal court system as retribution to society. Therefore.......

NOTE: Community Service can NOT be used in lieu of Public Service!!!

I hope this answers your question, and good luck in your future endeavors!
