He woke me up this morning. One of my former coworkers passed suddenly last Friday - a horrible, sad shock to us all, but I do know that she knew the Lord and FREQUENTLY talked about His love. So, I know she died in Christ. It amazes me how one minute we can be here - and gone the next. I thank God for sustaining my family. I also thank God because tomorrow my mother - who 2 yrs ago a Dr told me she would not last a month - will be 74 yrs old!

I am in the midst of a thunderstorm, yet I still have so much to be greatful for...

Money in the bank

A roof over my head, even though a few weeks ago I didn't know where I was going to live.

Good friends...like sisters.

A new godson...precious.

And...this is amazing to me and you will see why. Anyways I had parked at a meter at like 8 am for a class of mine and I FORGOT TO GO BACK AND PUT MONEY IN IT

for about 8 hours. Well I was already in the midst of a not great day at the point I realized that I never went back to feed the meter. I could only imagine how many dollars worth of tickets would be collecting nicely on my windshield since parking officers out here have no mercy. Well I got to my car and... not one single ticket. Trust me folks, it was truly a miracle!

I thank God for waking me up this morning and for keeping me and those I love dearly safe. I think God for every single trial and tribulation I've been through for without those I wouldn't be where and who I am today. I've been through so much and wanted to give up many of times but He kept me from giving in and kept me looking up. So Thank YOU for who You are in my life and for all the unconditional love You extend to me when I know I didn't and don't deserve it. Amen!! God is GOOD!!!

Considering my credit, I can testify that God is able!

Not long after I wrote that, I was blessed with a brand new house!!!

My Lord... he has comforted me in times of despair, strengthened my faith and my resolve in times of trial and tribulation; he has answered my prayers – always and on time, he has brought me and my family through so much, known and unknown to me. I love him, I really do; I know we are the sons and daughters of a merciful, mighty and magnificent God.

I thank God for just being God, I thank God for answering all of my prayers in the way that he knew would be the best for me, I thank God for establishing himself in my heart and my mind, I thank God for my Kappa husband, My PHd, My health my strength, My financial prosperity(yes the millions) and most of all I thank God for keeping me humble and for keeping my family humble and safe from harm. I thank God for his word, I thank God for his promises and I thank God for believing in me from the start and never letting me fall apart!

I thank God for being faithful to me in my life, through good times and bad! I've had some tough times like not being paid by charter schools, having my car stolen- but thanks be to God who gives me the victory. I did get it recovered in less than a week's time.

After three frustrating years in a city I disliked, God finally moved me out of that situation into a better one- I thank him for my new job, better working conditions- and my family. I thank him through all the tests and trials he has never left me nor forsaken me. I truly know that he is my provider

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT WANT!-I have claimed this scripture as my own since my college days and even now in my career!

I have alot to be thankful for. My fiancee, school, my health, my family, being employed, and recently a car.

This may be quite long but I will sum as best as I can.

3 years ago, I had some really bad perceptions about God and the church to the point it could get me kicked out of ones home. At that time, I had a job I couldnt stand but paid the bills, I was in school and my fiancee and I were together (then we were just bf/gf). In early 2003, I got really sick but managed to pursue Zeta. In May, when I was getting better, I lost my job. At that point I had no one to turn to but God. I sought HIM and was baptized that June.

For the rest of 2003 I struggled and so stressed and depressed that my grades slipped in the fall. But in 2004, my world came crashing down again but I knew I had to somehow get it together in order to get myself back together again. I had to learn to regain my self esteem and self worth back. Through this, I sought church more and started to go to bible study. I prayed and found ways to help myself (I planned my school's career fair and my grades went back up) and by that June of 04 the Lord answered my prayers and had me working again with a better job than I had previously. I pieced my life back together with the help of the Lord and I thank HIM for all that HE has done for me. But almost 3 weeks ago, HE saw fit for me to purchase my very first car and I did that. Sometimes I wonder if I am really deserving of all of this because there are some things I still need to work on. But I try not to question it. Its God's work, and that's that.

From my experiences, I have learned to always seek God. HE knows what you need before you even ask and furthermore, HE will not put you through more than what you can handle. Sometimes HE puts you through trials and tribulations to get you to seek HIM. Now, I go on with life thankful and try to do all things through HIM.

My soul rejoices in my God, My spirit proclaims the greatness of the Lord! Holy is his Name!

I am grateful to the Lord because he brought me a mighty long way In 2003 i had

1. Got laid off from a well paying job
2. Needed surgery for fibroids again

3. Had no $ to put towards my wedding nor health insurance

I interviewed everywhere but no leads. In the meantime my health was getting worse. I figured it out that He would not grant me a new job until I had my surgery because that was the most important. After I did that, I got a temp job in the City's Pension dept. But I found a full time job and took that when my time was up. BUT the kicker was the place i wanted to work at called me as i was starting the new job. They told me to keep them in mind even I had found a job. Started the new job and they neglect to tell me they were moving waaay out of the area

. So I called the people back on my first day to let them know I am interested and I got the job! I coudn't see His plan (wasn't for me to see, just experience) but I put all my trust in Him. Since then I have gotten married, been @ the company for almost 2 years and now we are thinking of buying a house sometime next year. So to those who are troubled and need deliverance I say to you:

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD ."
Psalms 27:14

Had to bring this up again because I just recently had my final bout with fibroids and the Lord brought me through that surgery and I am better. We also have bought our house and have been in in it for almost 9 months and every day I go home I just say Thank You Lord for providing for me and mine.

I appreciate this thread, because we can't testify enough, about HIS greatness and how HE blesses us without hesitation, daily...

It's amazing how GOD works HIS magic. When I landed here in Atlanta in June, I'd eventually end up homeless by July due to the fact that the homeowner of the house that I was renting ended up losing the home because, as he would admit to me, he wasn't paying the mortgage company for a couple of months prior to me arriving, because he hadn't been able to rent the house out, so they foreclosed on the property. For nearly 4 weeks, I was without shelter/a home, and you talk about long, cold, crazy nights, but GOD was great to me, like HE's always been, and I prayed constantly, and I ended up finding my footing, as HE granted me shelter/a home.

When all seemed dreary right before GOD placed me in my new home, I was blessed and able to keep my job, and my co-workers never knew anything that I was going through. I'd joined a gym as soon as I moved here, so in order to shower, I'd go there to shower everyday during this ordeal. I kept my clothes in a closet at work in an empty office space, man, you talk about crazy, it was truly a trial and heavy tribulation, but I received a truly empowering phone call one day whereby I received news that my book was finished and "FINALLY!" ready for the world. Just a week after receiving this news, a guy from the book company emailed me, and shared with me that he had recommended to a Managing Editor, that they sponsor my book and enter it into one of the country's most amazing Literary contest, and that they were going to be sending it to the Pulitzer Prize committee on my behalf. A definite blessing, because my vision is to win this coveted literary prize, and as a matter of fact, I already claim victory of this prize, I'm just waiting on them to send me my award.

Lastly, the most empowering things that kept me focused and strong, was my knowledge of who made me/HIM. Secondly, the knowledge of knowing that I was birthed from King's seed, HIS seed, and that kept me intensely driven everyday. Lastly, the fact that I have two young sons, who will one day be able to say, "Wow! Dad endured a lot, to be able to provide for us on such a galactic level. He set the bar high for us, so, we must achieve at a level higher than he did. We have no choice because that's what's expected"

I have many things to be grateful for.

1. Last year (in Preschool) my son was diagnosed with Asperger's Disorder (high Functioning Autism). During his first Kindergarten conference, I was advised by his teacher that he was probably misdiagnosed and should be assessed to be in the gifted program.

2. My promotion (and I am in line for another soon)

3. My employer has given me a stipend to take classes towards my Masters.

And the Blessings keep coming!!!!

Today, I am feeling so incredibly grateful to be spending a vacation day in my home. Yesterday, I had a small BBQ at my house of friends and family. That in itself is a blessing. Everyday that I wake, I am amazed by how much He has done for me.
