He brought me through and allowed me to pass a bar exam in October for my area of legal specialty even though I took the exam before even graduating law school or beginning to practice. I honestly did not know if I passed or not (even though I had prepared very well) but HE had the final say. AMEN.
He allowed me to score so high on the ethics part of my state bar exam in November that my score passed in any state in the union.
He ordered my steps and brought me along the way into this wonderful sisterhood we call Alpha Kappa Alpha. He laid my path - things just fell so in line over time, it was amazing.
He has helped me to develop into a more compassionate, compromising, and mature woman over the past several years and as I see 30 on the horizon, I know that I have come a long way.
He gave me the gift of discretion as a young child and I still carry that ability with me today - I can see through to people's inner character (no matter what they tend to portray on the outside) like you wouldn't believe. Folk don't believe me when I tell them about certain people but it always comes out in the wash. It's like I can look into their eyes and see if they are immensely evil or immensely good (the middle ground people, still working on).
He has guided me and kept me safe so many times and so many nights. Sometimes, I go someplace and there is a blizzard when I walk out but MY G-D brings me home safe everytime.

hmm... let's see....
He woke me up this morning.
I had breakfast and lunch.
I have a car that drives me all over campus and back home sometimes when I want to visit my mother.
I have a roof over my head that I can call home.
And I dress nicely and don't look to shabby.
I am truely blessed.

I don't post too often but after reading this thread I felt moved to respond. The Lord has truly blessed me with so many wonderful people in my life. He has worked through these people to bring me closer to Him. He's cut all the negative things/people out of my life because they were only hurting my relationship with God. I'm moved to tears right now because I'm realizing that I don't thank Him enough for all that he has done for me. There are so many people that went to bed last night but didn't wake up this morning, its a blessing for us all to even be alive right now!! I praise God for this thread and I hope that those reading will realize God's grace and mercy.

I'm in a good mood today and just wanted to share some of that joy. The Lord has really brought me a mighty long way in a very short time. My husband and I bought a house this year and we never would have thought that we would have been able to this young. Even while people around us were skeptical and realtors tried to play us because we are young, we found a beautiful place to call home. To look at where we were 2 years ago, or even this time last year, I never would have thought it to be possible.
The Lord has allowed me to go to graduate school full time and quit my job without any financial worries at all. Everyday I get reminders of how much HE loves me. I am so grateful. He has been so good to me!!

Thanks for reviving this thread. I didn't know it existed. Same here about the job situation. When I volunteered to leave my job (they were offering packages), people - looking at the $$- thought I was crazy. But I just kept hearing God say "Trust me." And that's exactly what I did. I stayed home with my newborn & our family has been fine.

God is faithful
Since we are overcome by one anothers testimony I decided that I will share some of the wonderful things that GOD has done for me First and foremost I have a wonderful role model in my brother he has been my mentor all of my life, he has showed me how to overcome adversity and that is indeed a blessing and I must mention that he is a member of the O so Ruthless Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He is a true blessing in my life!
On another note we all know that school is very expensive (what yall know about that out of state tuition) so I had been praying all summer for a way to pay for school do you know when I got back to school I recieved 2 scholarships one in the amount of 10,000 a year and the other in the amount of 7,000 per year Now you cant tell me GOD does not answer prayers! Or like my mother says "You cant make me doubt him 'cause I know too much about him"
Did you know that the bible says that we have the power to call those things that are not into the things that are Well I said that I was going to meet a man who is God fearing through and through a man that would not just want to be with me because Im so "pretty to my left and my right" Well I have that man he is sharing my mirror with me right now Alpha Kappa Alpha Psi love..skee-yo 4life!

I cannot even begin to testify to how much GOD has blessed my family and I. Earlier this year, my mother found a lump in her breast, which of course made my family a nervous wreck. All we could do was wait for doctor appts and tests, and PRAY. I know I don't have to tell you all that PRAYER WORKS!! Well, the tests came back free and clear. The lump that they found was hardened tissue caused by dense breast tissue, particulary in black women over 40. My mom just celebrated her 50th birthday a few days ago. All I can say is Thank GOD!

my 20 pearls...
I honestly want to thank my Savior for my membership in this wonderful organization. I know that may sound corny, but I know that I have read this forum for a looooong time, patiently waiting for the day to actually become a "Soror". I have been wanting to be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. since I was 10 years old and I praise God because this was def. a mission: impossible and He made my dream come true. I praise Him because I got my packet this week and I couldn't stop crying...I thank God for this opportunity and for answering my prayers.

I thank God for saving me...cause He saved me from soo much. I also thank God that my Uncle was found in New Orleans and he is alive. He is devistated, angry, and a little ill but he is alive. I am thankful because he has one more day to get his life right with Christ.

God Keeps His Promises
I thank God for my breakthrough. It seemed like so many times I was crazy or that nothing was going to ever happen. He opened one door let us walk through it and then closed it, I was so hurt! However he is a faithful God and he opened up another door and kept his promise. So I thank God for all he has done for me!

The sun rose in the east this morning. I was here to see it, functioning and in my right mind.
As always, I say "Thanks, God."

I am so glad that this topic is being revisited. I come to this site often, but never post. Today I feel that I just have too. I can't hold it all in. I don't know where to start. I have been blessed beyond what I could have ever imagined. My husband and I have been blessed with two healthy children. In April I moved into my new home. Not just any home, but 3400 square feet of everything I wanted. In May I quit my job teaching. I was afraid of losing steady income (what little there was), but God said trust me. It is September and I have already exceeded what I would have made teaching. I have a job where I can help people invest in their future and I can still can visit my students. Thank You Jesus. I have grown so much by letting him have his way. I have learn to be specific in my request and ask for exactly what I want. Then I just have to be patient and have faith. Can you believe all of this from a little country girl who everyone thought would grow up and not contribute anything to society.
