party gifts?

okay. So the rounds of holiday parties are about to start and I need some advice. I like to be the polite guest and bring a little something something for the hosts. Flowers are nice but I've heard it can be a hassle to stop what you're doing and put them in a vase. Wine is good but everyone does that. Is anyone opposed to bringing a bottle of liquor as a gift? All of my friends love having cocktails with Danzka vodka when they come to my place, and I thought it would be fun to give them a bottle of their own as a gift. Plus, at least I'm guaranteed good cocktail while I'm there.

I don't see any problem with it!! Especially if they have commented on the liquor when they had it at your house.

You could also consider bringing flowers that are already in a vase or basket - so that your host/hostess doesn't have to stop what they're doing.

Enjoy your parties!
Allison

I think Dankza is a good party gift. I've been drinking that for a few months now and it is really tasty. They may not have even tried it yet, since it is new, so they may really enjoy it.

I usually bring a big box of fruit (Fuji apples, persimmons, Asian pears, etc), Ferrero Rocher chocolates, or a box of fancy cookies.

I think that it is a good idea to bring what you like to drink.

Godiva chocolate is always a great gift... something from Harry & Davids... specialty coffees/hot chocolate...or a hand made ornaments/christmas decoration such as an embroidered hand towel.

I agree. I brought Danzka to a party a month or so ago and it went over well. One of my favorite winter drinks is hot apple cider with rum, but I find that to be a pain to transport.
