I agree with everything kdonline said. Bullies are often inseminated and deliver csection. When your female costs so much $$, and you pay huge stud fees for a good line- you don't want to risk a still birth or injury to the mother during delivery.

We also had a male with an incredible pedigree. We had to sell him, our landlord threatened to evict us. The breeders that wanted to buy him wanted sperm counts before they would purchase him. His price as a breeding dog was too high w/o samples. Poor Brutus couldn't preform for the vet, so we sold him to a college girl as a pet.

As far as sweat glands being removed-- I wonder if they mean anal glands. Our female, when young, would let off this horrible odor (not gas)-- it was oily and smelled soooo bad. We would take her to the vet to get the gland expressed, but it is hard to milk the gland in a dog with a docked tail. We opted to have the gland removed. Simple surgery and no smell.
