Was I the only one confused by that finale? I was expecting death and unhappiness and the like (I even warned my boyfriend not to call me right afterwards because I figured I'd be bawling. Although I did get teary when Nathan was at Q's grave - I loved that kid.). It was so... happy! I thought there was going to be some major twist at the end and it would all be a dream.
So I guess if Lucas and Peyton really aren't back next season, that was their "ride off into the sunset"?

No, I was too. I figured since the actors aren't supposed to be coming back there would be some, uh I don't know, closure, that they were leaving Tree Hill. But there was nothing. I was like "um okay". So my question to the writers is, how the heck are you writing out Lucas and Peyton for the season premiere, when no one saw them leave?
I'm glad that Brooke finally admitted she cared about Julian. I like them together.
I too just wonder how the show will work with Lucas gone, since the show started based on him and Nathans relationship (which has kind of delved away from that, but still).

They're going to jump ahead four years again.
I'm just glad they didn't kill anyone off. It leaves room for a return at some point. But yeah, some closure would have been nice. Maybe at the start of next season we'll find out they all went on a book tour or something? Or they're on the road with Mia or another artist? I know, not a great life for a baby, but...

Well you were close
Okay I kind of understand the 14 month jump ahead, but I do have some "issues" (and I'm only halfway through the eppy)
1. Could someone please explain to me why we don't know where and why Lucas and Peyton left? I'm 30 minutes into the episode, don't you think that should have been said at the beginning?
2. If Julian can make Jamie's birthday party from New Zealand, why aren't his Uncle Lucas and Aunt Peyton there? Lame. IMPO.
3. I love the character of Millie and they made her into, kind of a bitch. What's that about?
I'm not sure if I'm going to continue to watch this season. I'm already disappointed with the show.
Thoughts?

Last night's show was so bad that even DH looked at me and was like "umm, I think this is it with the show."
Poor Kirby, that guy has been bouncing around a bit after Lipstick Jungle. I hope he stays on this one the whole season at least. He had all of 2 seconds on that WB show I can't remember the name of.
Unfortunately I think the show has run its course at this point.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think the show is going to do OK. I don't mind Peyton leaving and I think it's going to be OK without Lucas b/c I'm really liking Julian now.
Think this will be a good chance of pace. Last season was the best one yet of the show (IMO) and I don't see things fizzling just yet.

As weird as this sounds, I'm ready for Nathan and Haley to have another baby. Jaime needs to be a big brother. Plus, it could be their "drama" because at 7 Jaime would find it probably tough to adjust to "sharing" mom and dad.
Since it is supposed to be 14 months later I'm also ready for a wedding. I'd like to actually see Millie and Mouth get married (over Brooke and Julian).

Really? I've never liked Mouth. I'm ready for him to go altogether.
Totally a fan of Haley's sister though and the new sports agent. Of course I can't remember their names right now...

Quinn is the sister. Can't think of the agents name.
This whole "pregnancy" storyline is so stupid. I say this because the reality would be the agent would come out, deny it and state that a paternity test will be done as soon as possible and until then no money will be given. Obviously that is really all this girl wants, so I find this storyline stupid. It's just some stupid storyline so that there is "conflict" between Haley and Nathan.
Plus, I would really love to know where the heck Lucas and Peyton are? They up and left and not one person has mentioned them (other than the season premiere when Jaime opened the present). What's that about anyways?
I have a feeling Dan isn't as "good" as he claims he is. I don't think he would take this girls side over Nathans. He may "claim" that he wants her on his show to tell "her side of the story", but I don't think it will come out that she is an "innocent victim" in all of it.

So did anyone recognize the ghost actress? I knew it spot on, but had to check IMDB just to be sure.
Not sure how I feel about her coming back to acting, since her storyline has been so blah, but hey, maybe this will work into another show since CW loves to recycle actors.

I actually don't mind her. It took me a moment to recognize her.
I actually kind of enjoy the storyline, getting to know more about Clay. I do feel bad for him, losing a wife, at a young age who seemed healthy.
Soooo glad that the stupid pregnancy storyline with Renee is done! Thank god! I do think Nathan should have called Dan to thank him, because if Dan hadn't done what he had done, Nathan would still be dealing with Renee's lies.

Ok, so are they getting rid of the show or what? It seems like everyone is leaving Tree Hill for other projects.
I couldn't find anything online, but from last night's episode I don't know if they're going to keep it past this season.

I've completely lost interest. I hate when shows start adding characters and then focus on their stories. I felt the same with 90210. That's when I stopped watching. I think they're jumping the shark.

I get the feeling, especially from last nights episode, that the show will be ending this season. It's really hard to do One Tree Hill when like everyone leaves.
It still bad enough that we have no clue where Lucas and Peyton are. What I find stupid about that, is Lucas and Peyton would have most likely come home when Nathan was dealing with the whole Renee crisis.
I don't know anymore about this show. Millie is bugging me. I feel bad for Brooke, I mean can that poor character get a break! It's like everything truly horrible happens to Brooke. In real life, is she was my friend, I'd be like "try another doctor", 'prove them wrong" and eventually "surrogate".

Poor Clay, that actor hasn't caught a break yet, and he's so cute too.
