Good game to the Panthers. Y'all's boy Fitzgerald is a stud. Not much else i can say about the game. I was really liking our chances even up till Dustin threw that interception.
Once again, Good Game Pitt, y'all played a great game. How about y'all beat the hell outta Miami this year?

KS 361 times i think my Texas teams aren't playing well cuz i'm not instate to root them on

It was a damn good game, I was sweatin' at times. Fitzgerald is amazing... he makes our QB look great.
I'd love nothing more than the beat the isht out of Miami, trust me!

Tom Earp, this is for you.
During the A&M-Pitt game, the trivia question was about Coach Fran.
They said, "Coach Fran got his start coaching at Pittsburg State (Kan.) College. What is Pittsburg State's nickname?"
i was sittin on the couch and spit Shiner Bock on the carpet as i belted out, The Gorillas! My mom and cousins were like, how the hell did you know that?
I winked and told em i had a buddy in KC that went to PSU

One hell of a day.. Crappy time to have alum activities. Missed everything.
Fran apparently hasn't caught on to coaching at A&M.. Slocum was actually doing better.
Cal over USC.. all I can say is holy crap. Didn't see that one coming at all.
Iowa loses as well... Not really a shocker, they just haven't been able to replace that QB from last year.
What the hell happened to ND though? Simply amazing how you can go from a semi-decent team to MAYBE being worthy of a bowl bid from some 3rd rate bowl... Quinn looked alright. I think Holliday's out. It would actually be nice to see the Irish NOT in a BCS bowl. Would truly warm the heart.
And Kitso, as for KU tearing down the goalposts... Give the folks up in Lawerence a break. Last year they were so bad that they gave Baylor their first Big XII conference win ever. So far, KU has beat two decent teams: UNLV and Mizzou. As bad as the Big XII is this year and as good as they're playing, they could have a few more upsets this year.
With all these upsets, I'm kind of worried about OU vs. Iowa State now

Not to rub salt in the wounds of the Mizzou GCers on here, but i really enjoyed watching KU win one. Its nice to see teams that have fallen on hard times lately pull out a big win. Rock Chalk baby. Course, i still hope we kick their butts at Kyle later on

Ahh! That game was so good...it was so great to see USC being put in its place by an underrated team like Cal. I can assure that Westwood and the Rose Bowl was full of elated Bruins last night, not only of our win over SDSU but because of Cal's victory!
Haha! It was the greatest! I was watching the game with my boyfriend and his friend, who is the biggest USC fan ALTHOUGH he didn't even go to the school and is no way even remotely connected to the school and he was sooo sad! I don't understand fans like this....it's college football...usually most people who are fanatical about a team are alums or students at the school not randoms. I'm sorry but this irks me...especially when he got on me for cheering for CAL saying " you didn't even go there, why are you cheering for them". I told him we have a saying at UCLA "We cheer for UCLA and any team playing USC". I was like, "Okay, pyscho... you are crying for a school's loss and you didn't EVEN go there"
Sorry, as you can tell he kind of irritates me!

This is the biggest argument most Aggies have with fans of the longwhorns. The majority of people who talk smack have never even SNIFFED austin, let alone attended the university.
not that it's a bad thing to have a college you follow, but as far as i'm concerned, if you didn't attend the school that just beat A&M, you have no right to talk smack about it

I'll take issue with ya'll that think you have to go to a school to be a fan -- and if you're not, you're bandwagon?
My father, an OU alum started taking me to games back in the 80's (when OU won a couple NC's). I've been a fan since before I knew how to read. I ended up going to a DII school (that's not doing too bad this year either) but am still an avid OU fan (that's Oklahoma University).
In Oklahoma though, the closest thing we have to professional sports (football anyway) would be the Dallas Cowboys.
I've been lucky enough to get tickets to watch the OU-TX game down in Dallas. Plan to totally enjoy as OU pastes the whorns for a 4th year in a row
Bandwagoner, I am not.
P.S. -- Kitso, why would Texas ever have bandwagon fans? What the hell have they won recently? A couple of Cotton Bowls, a "shared" as Mack would put it South Division Championship (even though they didn't get to go to the Champ game) and a couple recruiting championships? To have droves of bandwagon fans usually means that a team has had some degree of success...

I never said that y'all can't be fans.
What i'm saying, is that if (and most likely when) OU or Nebraska beat A&M, any trash or smack that you try to talk (sidenote: ktsnake, i know you personally won't do that, but in general) will be meet with..."oh really? and when did you graduate from OU(or NU)"
I'm a Duke fan when it comes to college basketball. But as someone who never attended Duke i don't feel the right to talk smack to people who attended schools that Duke beat.
Kitso
KS 361 times it'd be easy for me to say, yeah, i'm from Texas, i'll root for the whorn's as long as they're winning
ETA: ktsnake, the whorns bandwagon fans are most often the uneducated people in the state who view them as the recently dominating team in the conference. Also, the older uneducated people who point to Texas' MNC's in the 60's. In the late 80's and 90's when A&M OWNED Texas, there were susbstantially less 'flying uterus' stickers seen on Texas vehicles. Now that we've had a couple down years, they're back in droves.
