Okay.. It is soo much fun trying to figure out which beach is which house...

I have Hunington Beach, Surfside, Destin and Galveston figured out!!!!! Though I must admit, I was confused about Hunington! I guessed the chapter immediately by the beach description, but then you said the beach was not on your list for 2nd rounds... However, the chapter was one of the four GLO's you named that you were going back too! Now I see that you meant MB and NS, not Hunington!!!

I can not wait to find out where you go and if I am correct!!! How much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope so too!!! I have really been working at this matching game!! I would love to know if I am correct!!! There is ONE that I am absolutely, positively sure I am correct!!! I am looking at the descriptions of the beaches, matching them with the chapters at UNT for clues!!! I feel like an Inspector!!!!

Oh! By the way, Txsurfinwaves, I think you spelled one of the beach names wrong - and now others are spelling it wrong too!

You left out the "T" in Huntington. It's "Huntington" not "Hunington".

The only reason I mention it is because for seven years I lived about 5-10 minutes away from that beach. I don't know which sorority it is, but I've been rooting for them by that fact alone!

Funny thing...last night I'm at home looking at one of those mail-order catalogs and don't they now have something called skants! It's pants that look like a skirt, kind of like the skort. It wasn't attractive, but it reminded me of this

Ok, girls, Im going back to Huntington and Surfside tonight. im so excited..i could see myself in either one of these groups. I think my Rho Gamma is in one of these groups- i stayed after to talk to her and she looked at my card and was like thats really weird and funny- but i cant tell you until Saturday!

I'm really enjoying this thread and I love the names. When I read the descriptions, I thought Myrtle Beach sounded like our chapter there. Hmm.

Any updates? How was pref?

UNT Bid Day started a while ago and is slated to last all day long, for example Rho Gamma revealing isn't until this evening sometime, plus they have Panhel. pictures planned and depending on the group there are social things into the night. So sadly, I doubt we'll be getting an update any time soon.

I did see our surfer friend last night and she looked great! I might get word later on her status, but I'll wait on her post...don't want to be a spoiler. (All six UNT sororities took quota plus one.)

That's weird that the computer would match quota, and then one girl would be hand-placed in each chapter.

Woohoo... I sooo guessed where the two sororites she preffed... and with your post... it was confirmed!!!! I am sure she is having a wonderful day!!!!!!!!!

The "plus one" is an option that each chapter had to offer a bid to an additional woman, but only if that woman is a junior or senior. This year it was one, but when more "older" ladies go through recruitment...I've seen it go up to 3.
