Phi Mu Alpha Record

Hi to RedMusiq4U and all the Sinfonians out there! Recently, I purchased an unusual record on eBay. It was a recording done by the Beta Mu chapter of Phi Mu Alpha, and contains 30 fraternity songs. I hadn't seen anything like it for Phi Mu Alpha (my boyfriend's fraternity) or, for that matter, my own (I'm a Phi Mu, funny how the GLO names worked out ).

Anybody out there have something similar? Or know more about the chapter, for that matter? I know if our Iota Epsilon chapter had done something like this, it'd go down in posterity right here at UNC Greensboro. Any thoughts, guys?

Beta Mu, at Central Methodist College (Fayette, MO), is traditionally a very strong chapter -- back in the day, it seemed like they were always winning chapter awards and citations. I think I may have that same record -- is the title maybe "With Hearts for Music's Gladness"?

Lyrecrest used to have a really good CD -- "A Century of Brotherhood" -- with lots of good Fraternity songs on it, but I think they are sold out now. There are also some Sinfonian a cappella groups out there with CDs, but I don't begin to know how to track them down.

I don't think so, MysticCat. There's no title on either the slipcover or the record--simply the chapter and fraternity name, and the Phi Mu Alpha crest. It does have a date of 1977 listed on the record.

I'd like to keep an eye peeled for other recordings, though...the fellas do enjoy their singing, and every Sinfonian who's been over to his apartment has come in to listen and sing along.
