The last episode of QE was by far the best. I was crying when Carson make the comment about him and Ellen Degeneres.
I was glad that Jai was back too. I absolutely love him. He is the cutest thing and I just love him. But, on this past episodes, he seemed kind of useless. The culture experts don't seem to make any realy contribution, or if they do, it is rarely shown on the episode. Last time, the only thing that Jai did was teach him how to say 'I Love You' in Armenian. I know that he could have had more influence on a marriage proposal than that.

Yeah he didn't have much to do, but he still brought the funny with what time he had, lol. The swiffer, girl!
Seriously though, I think that half the reason they took John to lunch was to inspect his tablemanners. There would have been more with Jai if John had needed polishing at table.

this morning the Fab Five were on The View! They came out at the beginning of the show, sat at the table and started chatting it up... then Joy, Star, and Meridith came out. It was TOO funny.

Jay Leno to get a Queer Eye Makeover
Leno to Get Makeover from 'Queer Eye' Guys
Mon Aug 4, 5:43 PM ET Add Entertainment - Reuters to My Yahoo!
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Is a "Queer Eye" plus Jay Leno (news - Y! TV)'s big chin the right look for good ratings? The NBC television network thinks so.
With new reality series "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" having become a breakout summer hit for the Bravo cable TV channel, Bravo parent NBC said on Monday it will bring the show's "Fab Five" make-over artists onto "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" for a pair of special appearances next week.
The "Queer Eye" quintet will make their "Tonight Show" debut as guests on Aug. 14, then return the following night to give Leno and his program a special make-over.
"Queer Eye," which has become a major ratings winner for Bravo, features five gay men with expertise in good grooming, food, fashion, culture and interior design coming to the aid of a hapless heterosexual slob. The hour-long show has drawn the cable channel's highest audience numbers ever.
An initial half-hour repeat of the show on NBC proved to be a solid ratings performer, and "Queer Eye" hype has continued to build in U.S. popular culture since that special broadcast. NBC plans to air a second 30-minute prime-time installment on Aug. 14, the same evening as the Fab Five's debut on Leno.
While audiences have taken warmly to "Queer Eye," some of the nation's top TV critics have been mixed in their reviews.
"In this long summer of instantly disposable reality TV, cable's Bravo channel manages to break through the pathetic pack by slyly subverting one of the genre's conventions," TV Guide critic Matt Roush wrote in this week's issue. "Yes, the 'Fab Five' can be bitchy, but as they bond with their subject, there's a lot of heart in the way they root for him."
Washington Post critic Tom Shales took a different tack, though, in his initial review of the show.
"Forced to choose between scorn and condescension, gay people could hardly be blamed for preferring the latter -- and thus might not object to the stereotypes on parade in the series," he said last month.
NBC and Bravo are owned by General Electric Co.
'You can cruise for women; we'll cruise for men,' quips Carson Kressley, the flamboyant fashion consultant on cable television channel Bravo's new smash hit, 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,' to his straight companion. It is a message not lost on advertisers, who are taking a closer look at reaching the gay and lesbian market with a batch of summer programs highlighting gay-versus-straight themes. The show's cast are (L-R) Thom Filicia (Design Doctor), Ted Allen (Food & Wine Connoisseur), Carson Kressley (Fashion Savant), Kyan Douglas (Grooming Guru) and Jai Rodriguez (Culture Vulture). I was on Bravo's website www.bravotv.com and was reading the background info on the Fab 5. Thom graduated from Syracuse with a B.A. in Interior
Design. And Carson graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Gettysburg with degrees in
Finance and Fine Art.
Other neat facts:
Jai-was Angel in the musical Rent
Ted-has been a contributing editor to Esquire magazine where he is co-author of the "Things a Man Should Know" column
Kyan- received his certification in cosmetology from the Aveda Institute New York

More secrets about the show
The Fab Five are on the August 8th cover of Entertainment Weekly.
Guess what? Blair was supposed to be the regular culture guy instead of Jai. However, one of the executive producers stated that "It wasn't working out with Blair, and we decided to recast."
It takes four days to do their makeovers!! The first day is when they meet him. The next two days are the grooming. And the final day is the presentation.
Also any guy who is picked must live in NYC or the surrounding area.
All products that are used must receive the Fab Five's seal of approval.
The loft space where the watch the guy is in Midtown Manhattan.
Remember Butch, the artist? Well he says ever since the show he has been receiving tons of emails from women wanting a date.
And Adam is still getting his unibrow waxed.

I saw the end of the show with the propsal. I was really impressed with the Moroccan tent.

I can't be mad that they replaced Blair. He was really boring. Jay is such a cutie AND he brings the funny (my new favorite saying).

OMG!!! I don't even know how HUMANS could have actually inhabited that apt.! It was a freakin' pig sty!!! I was SOOO angry at that place. I can't believe that they were living like that!! I must say that the final product was great. Considering what their apt. looked like before, after was a BLESSING. I was LMAO when Thom said that their house would have been more fabulous if Vivia would have cleaned up before they got there!! That was so true. Hope fully, they won't let their house get that nasty EVER again.
I was also shocked that Vincent was so free about having his body exposed like that during various parts of the episode. He did look good after all was said and done. Some of those outfits did give him a slimming effect. Ahhh, the power of appropriate clothing..... The flocked jeans were a no-no, though. Overall, he looked like a new man after the facial and haircut.
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!

When I first saw the flocked pants I was doubtful but they looked really good with that shirt. Carson's style choices are impeccable in my book- and last night's episode didn't have him any of those crazy shirts he wore in the first few. He looked amaaaazing and just as put together as the final product MO.
My main style issue was with my darling Jai. Honey, did you mug an Amish kid lately? Those overalls? must go. Doesn't matter though because I still loooooove me some Jai. So cute. Why must he be gay?
The apartment was suuuuuper nasty. When Thom stuck the lid on the wall???? Eww.
