How many times have I tried Atkins?! TOO DAYUM MANY TIMES!!!! Y'all I suck at this diet! I do well for two days, then I crave fruit or a peppermint. Tomorrow I'm going to the fair--mini donuts, deep fried candy bars, french fries, homemade cookies, etc. This isn't gonna work for me tomorrow. I'm thinking about just doing Weight Watchers again. But I will say this though, McDonalds grilled chicken caesar salad is the bomb! That's a great meal for those who are on Atkins.
Keep me posted!

Atkins is not for everybody. Weight Watchers is AWESOME but again it's a lifestyle change.

going to the fair? Ever have a deep fried twinkie? I haven't but I heard they're good. Sounds like a heart attack on a stick.

Keep the updates coming. I'm in a wedding in December and may just try this again. My girlfriend slowly eliminated carbs by meal. First she started with one carb free meal a day...then went to two...then all three. Once she weaned herself that way she did induction and cut ALL carbs. She said it wasn't as painful. Maybe I'll try it her way.

I would force someone to share it with me though, to minimize the damage.

I've started a regular exercise program, but I just thought that id I can make it through the induction phase, then afterwards I may be able to train myself to only take small portions of carbohydrates. I want to control my problem now before it gets out of hand.

Same thing here, I've followed Atkins for awhile, but didnt do it, I did Body for Life, which is a great program that I'm going to get back to, once I've lost the fat around my waist line. I cant afford to lose even 10 pounds and still look sane, I'll be bones!! So I'm tryin Induction, but i might go for 30g carbs instead or 35. I also run and lift weights. I encourage every woman to lift weights, last summer I probably gained like 5lbs of muscle, and so I weighed more, but everyone thought i must have lost like at least 10lbs.
I've to travel to go see friends in about 3 weeks, and we're supposed to be painting the city red, so I'm tryin to hold my own
So my verson of Atkins commenced today, I'll keep y'al updated. I wear a size 7, but darn it my abs are so so so terrible If I lose more than 5lbs in these 3 weeks, I'll up my carbs to at least 50, cause my mom will have a fit

Day 10 0f Induction and although our scales are broken and I don't know how much I've lost, I know it's been quite a bit because the ole wedding ring is spinning around my finger!

If you are active don't cut those carbs out. You are going to need them badly.

yeah I'm only stayin off sugar for health reasons, it runs in the fam, and i've been addicted to apple juice. So far, i've only drank water str8 past 2 days, and thats a blessing
So basically what I'm doing is staying away from Sugar i should say and not really Carbs overall.

Okay! After giving birth to 8 kids, I wanted to trim off a few pounds but diets didn't work because I didn't pick up the excess weight from overeating--just from pregnancies with huge babies. I starved whenever I tried to diet by reducing my food intake because I never ate that much anyway!
Sooo...my boss came back from the summer break without his pot belly and we were all astounded and he said he did it on Atkins. Several of us took it up about 6 weeks ago...I've been losing about a pound and a half a week.
The good thing is that the boss researches everything he does so he tells us about the best places to buy the Atkins snacks or how to make low-carb fajitas or what fruits you can have and not gain.
