Is anyone thinking of coming to New York City for law school?

Got mine and it didn't suck either.

In fact, it's exactly what I needed to get into my school of choice

Yay for you! If that's what I think it was, I did just a little bit better than you! Isn't it a relief to have the score and know "OK, I am going to law school?"

Yup. Now I don't have to resort to plan B: Find people on the inside and get them to pull strings through relentless begging.

Damn, all this law school talk (and watching Legally Blonde) is making me want to go to law school and be a lawyer. I would love to go into construction law, or to be a lawyer that works for architecture firms or preservation. The director of my program has a JD (from Harvard, and an LLM from Cambridge) in addition to his background in architecture.

Sounds interesting. I'm just wanting to be a run-of-the-mill trial lawyer. I'm wanting to focus on civil litigation, particularly family law. Just have to pass law school and be admitted to the bar now. No sweat, right?

GeekyPenguin...I love your sig! Are you a "Grease" fan as well???

I've taken the LSAT and I bombed. I have my paralegal certification, yet I can't even get into a law firm or the law department at my company. I had an interview at a satellite office of a firm in my area today, and he actually told me that I am over-qualified in what he was looking for,he can't afford me, and that I should shop my resume to some of the larger firms in Philly. Good idea, but it's already been done.

I've always dreamed of going to law school and practicing entertainment law, but I am now really starting to believe that Law isn't for me.

I do indeed love Grease.

Have you thought about retaking? My score wasn't terrible - it's 80th percentile - but I'd like it to be better.

If you retake you should find out your schools' policy on retake scores some take the higher, some average, some only "note your improvement"

Nearly all of them average - but if I can go up from the 80th percentile to the 85th, that'd make a big difference from only a few points.
