i just wanted to stop by and "salute" the women who have tried to give more than just one perspective over on the cc board.

... the little i recalled from my high school american history class was a vague picture of the man involving his filibuster, but i didn't put two and two together on the reasoning behind it...
learning to consider various perspectives and wading through opinions is something that is difficult for many people, especially when they have limited experience. the more often you push others to do so, you *are* helping to end the backwards thinking and ignorance that still exists, even if you encounter some narrow minds (or um, strongly opinionated people, or whatnot) on the way...
so anyways, like i was saying, thanks for speaking up and knowing that it was important to do so, more than to just watch
