The company I work for is an oil and gas company that used to be Enron. This company bought themselves out right before Enron went bankrupt. I now know why they went bankrupt. They buy breakfast for everybody here (50 people or so) at least three times a week. They buy really expensive cheesecakes weekly. We have fridge stocked with sodas, juices, and waters, all bought by the company and re-stocked daily. They buy computers like no tomorrow. They also pay everybody really, really well. If you took a walk through our parking garage, you'd find all late model vehicles. I'm talking about Mercedes, Hummers, Suburbans, and of course nice trucks (yeah, I'm in Texas). I get paid pretty well and you all see what I do all day. Yep, GC. One more thing, they are flying some people out to Palm Springs just for the hell of it.
I expect that the company will soon start cutting back on its spending. However, this could all be normal. Before here, the other office jobs I held were at the courthouse, and there were no perks there. The county is shiesty.
