I took the advice and went through. The episodes that I read about were some of the ones that I saw before this season came on. You know that Showtime was just mixing and matching episodes before this season premiered. I guess they didn't replay that one, which is why I missed it. I'll catch it one day.

Girl, if you want to see "Smitty", Mr Idris Elba himself in all of his glory, you need to watch The Wire on HBO. New season starts on June 1st!! He is FIONE!! Plays the 2nd in command to the head drug dealer, but since the head guy went to jail at the end of last season (which they just replayed, so you missed it) Stringer Bell is about to be the MAN!! Is Stuart Scott REALLY that ugly?? I've seen him on ESPN a number of times and I never realized how unattractive he is!!

Why is Damon quitting his job? Is Terri supposed to take care of him?

I missed the first part. What was up with the tape? I figured it was Lem and Bird doing the do, but how did Terri get it? Them breaking in her house was funny! And Lem putting ol' boy in a head lock!

Can't wait to see what happens next week with Baron and Er-sher's character.

And only 2 more shows?!?!?! What us gon' do?????

Why does Soul Food play us like this??? Two episodes left??? Season Finale on June 11th????

Anyway, Teri got the tape of Lem & Bird when Bird lent her their video camera for her vacation and forgot to take their "Sailor" tape out of it.

I too thought it was funny how they broke in to Teri's house and jacked her tapes and how Maxine and Teri were clowning both of them.

Lem and that kid? Shorty didn't know WHO he was talking to!!!

Damon quitting his job? I was wondering when something like that was going to happen. He has too much of a good side of him to keep that type of positions where all you care about is the money and not the client.

Now I'm trying to figure out HOW they are going to get rid of him? Is he going to get in an accident? Or leave town to clear his head about quitting his job, thus leaving Teri behind? I don't know...

Is it that hidieous that she doesn't want to wear it?

Kenny should have talked to Smitty for reassurance before setting up the pitching session.

Towards the end of the episode, Terri had a ring on her finger. Why did she have to show the "sailor" to Maxine? That was straight foul.

WHERE HAS HE BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! That dude that plays "Smitty" is BEAUTIFUL!! I may have to get hip to "The Wire." Since Soul Food is about to wrap for the season, I now have something else that I can get into for a while. Man, oh man....!!

Lem and Bird are off the chain! They are too funny! What made them think that could "break in" Terri's house and steal the tape? They are a trip!

HC I was all up on the scene trying to get a "peep" when Lem was walking around in his birthday suit?!
HC Bird was really interested in the tape while Lem was walking around in the nude?

HC I hope that I can have fun with my husband whenever I get married?

I was LMAO when Terri AND Maxine were clowing them!

I feel sorry for Tobias. I hope that he is OK. He may never play baseball again. Knowing how this series is, we may never hear about Tobias again. It sad that they would enter a story and never follow up, but that's the kind of stuff they do.

Can Ahmad get a haircut for the new season....?

Ok has this been talked about earlier in the thread?

WHY at the end of the theme song when they all do the little hop hop slideeeeeeee back that all bird does is turn her azz around? ruining the whole thang. Heck even non dancing Teri does it.

And WHYYYYYYY hasn't anyone mentioned Lem in the buff? I was hootin and hollering so much that my cat left the room like "this bish is crazy" lol!

This episode had me CTFU because Damon didn't know WHAT to tell Ahmad. He was lost for words. That was too funny.

Estelle was lowdown for leaving Mandel like that. I used to like Maxine, but she is starting to gte on my nerves MORE and MORE! How dare she continue to take up for Estelle? This woman BROLE INTO YOUR HOME and LEFT A KID!!! I think that it is really cool that Terri and Damon took Mandel in.

Lem was like WHOA! when he went off on Bird about that abortion....

Cameron got his just desserts. He should have deen straight up with his daddy from the beginning.

The season finale will be OFF THE HOOK!!

OH MY GAAAAAWD!!!

First thing I said after they finished showing next week's season finale

was OH SHYYYYYYT!!

Okay tonight's ep had me crying and laughing. I am so glad that Terri took Mandel in.

I cried when I saw that baby washing those dishes and when they showed his file. HOW SAD!!

I LMAO @ all the penis talk. Oh my GAWD I was CTFU so hard. Oh and Lauren was not right for stuffing her bra AT ALL. Oh and now Lauren's mom is clearly not my mom because my mom would have marched right out there and asked AHMAD why was he showing me his package. CTFU @ Lauren stuffing her bra. I used Kleenex, that heffa had real breast stuffers.

The Baron/Lem/Cameron storyline: Good one. I am glad that Lem is back in good standing, but those scars on Cameron's arm were HIDEOUS!!! Oh and don't Usher look like he could sniff the stank off shyt!!

Umm when Lem checked Bird, I had to applaud him. I mean Bird, that was an insult. You wanna take in another child, but you kill your own.

Oh and when SPECIAL ED KELLY asked if Mandel could talk, I was like OH NO SHE DIDN'T. . .

Oh and when Mandel got in Ahmad's bed I was like watch out for the wet spots.

Good ep. . .I don't know what I will do after next Wednesday. I guess I will be first in line to buy Soul Food Season 1. . .

Please God, let there be a season 6, PLEASE!!!

Tonight was FINALLY a good episode!!!

Okay where do I begin.....at the beginning.

1. Ahmad and his "stuff"...is he really packing...and is it hereditary??? Did Aunt Teri see it? Damon lost for words?

2. Mandel...Mandel...Mandel......I need to understand what goes on in Max's head??? CPS would have been called the very next morning! I understand her wanting to care for him and try to find out about his mother....but REALLY though.....she should have checked Estelle's files from the jump.....she can not be trusted.....so sad the little boy has hard such a HORRIBLE life and he's only 5!

3. Damon and Teri......I'm GLAD SHE WORE THE RING!!!! I liked how Damon interacted with Mandel.....I wasn't expecting them to become instant parents though....but we'll see.....

4. Lem/Baron/Cameron......Cameron....like I said last week, you don't know Lem like that....he didn't know WHO he was messing with....boy I sure did get scared for 'ol boy.....his daddy 'bout to have him taken care of ....good that Lem stepped in to correct his mess....

5. What the H**** goes on with Max rolling up to somebody's house like what??? She lucky all she got was a jacked up fanga!!!

6. HOW DARE BIRD TALK ABOUT BRINGING THIS CHILD IN TO THE HOUSE AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO HAVE HER OWN HUSBAND'S BABY????????

heeeeeelllllll naaaaw....I'm SO GLAD Lem checked her flyin' behind....quick fast and in a hurry....how could she even let that come out of her mouth???

7. and for the FINALE.......I think Damon is going to end up in jail.....looks like he hurts Teri and Mandel.....dang... so much for the instant family and stirrr

Well I must say last nights ep was the best I have seen in a good minute.

Well, so the secrets out, lil Ahmad is going to have a big wheeny..

But those girls did not have to clown him like that......

I thought for sure girl friends mammy was going to come out while she was in the midst of looking at his goodies at her pool.

Mandell was the most precious lil boy. Oh my goodness, I just wanted to scoop him up off the television. He was soooo adorable, how could a mother just mistreat their child.......DAM that angers me!

And Kelly

, can he talk??? I was like can yo azz read??? Shoot Mandell couldn't even talk and still seemed smarter than her. She always has that look like:

Family: What's wrong Kelly?

Kelly: CAWNFUZED (while rocking back and forth)

BEST PIC OF THE SEASON AWARD GOES TO: Terry and Mandell! You all have to admit, when Terry and Mandell were sitting on Max's couch and he gave her half of his sandwich, that was just simply priceless!

Terry really looked as though she were at the adoption agency or something waiting for some final paper work. They just looked sooo cute.

Zetafg is right, I was glad Lem checked Bird too. How dare she even mutter a word about letting Mandell stay there and she aborted their unborn. However, I was not all that pleased with the way Lem was asking about doing for a child they don't even know. Lem of all people should not have a problem with anyone helping a child in need, so he needs to check his ownself on that one. I would have tossed Jays pamper in her face for that one.

I knew that chut was going to hit the fan! I knew Miss Johnson was going to go to Byron or whatever his name is and tell him. I like her though, isn't she the one who played Miss Jerry on Martin? The one Martin was always fighting with???

But notice that Lem didn't seem very surprised when they got back to the office. Cameron got off VERY easy!

I really think Max should have called CPS because Mandells mother is sooo dang on shakey, I could really see her going to Po-Po and saying Max kidnapped her son. She also should not have gone to that mans house because he looked skrate up and down shakey too.

Well that is my commentary, more news at 11...........

My Soul Food comments:

Mandel - I felt so sorry for him. I'm glad that Terri and Damon took him in. I think Terri's maternal instincts are kicking in.

Lem - It's official: Lem is my favorite SF character.

I cheered when he put Bird in check, talking 'bout she wanna take some other child into the house but didn't wanna have the baby she was carrying.

Cameron - Boy you better be lucky!!!! You better RECK ON EYES who the heck Lem is and be thankful he was willing to cover for your sorry behind.

Ahmad - All that penis talk had me LMBO for real. He's asking all of these questions and the grown folks were too embarrased to answer them. LOOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!

Maxine - If Maxine had gone to CPS, none of this would've happened. (For those Woody Woodpecker fans out there.

Gyrl7 that was not Miss Gerri from Martin. Miss Gerry is more rotund and less polished.

Oh and Bird trying to be a ride or die chick with Lem, baby girl, you are scared of guns, LOL, how are you going to ride or die?

Terri sitting on the couch eating with Mandel had me boohooing too. I am glad Terri took him in. That made me love her last night. Damon was so good with Mandel. Too bad he CHUCKS it up.
