Hey Guys, this is Rob, chryso at the U of SD TKE Colony. Just discovered the boards and wanted to say hi. Erik & Eric from IHQ just stopped by over the weekend and all of us 22 new members went through initiation. OH383, I love this Fraternity.

You should be hearing a lot from Theta Eta in the future. Our Prytanis is already on the CAC, and we have a couple unbelieveable alumni helping us out (one even dropped 1mil for our house this year). We are on track to charter in November.

Yours in the Bond,

Rob Specht

There's a small picture of our house, we are just updating our website in the next couple months, we should have a lot more content on it.

your founder speaks from afar

I colonized the SD Teke chapter winter 1958-59. I called you South Dakota Alpha Colony as you were the first for TKE in SD
Was staying at the TKE house in Morningside and moved over
to Vermillion. Have lots of stories. I am yet active in TKE alumni
doings here in Denver and assisting two chapters and our new
CU colony. Best wishes to you all YITB, ERIK CONARD

Do you remember Frater David DeRouchey? I am not entirely sure if he was part of the first group, but he is very high up on ouru scroll. He is the main alumni responsible for bringing TKE back to USD. He's had a very successful life, and has been giving a lot of his time and money back to the colony. We just gave out the Connie Mack award at RCB in honor of our first scroll, whom you probably remember, Connie Conrad.

TKE-South Dakota

I recall Gary Marx, Phi Beta Kappa, Prytanis, and Connie Mack
Horned (not Conrad), a Minot State Teke. I have a few items of
early memorabilia including the original list signed by the very
first members of the colony + a copy of your original petition. I
have been saving them just for you. Send me your snail mail,
will send. You have made an old Teke very happy, seeing you all back at SUSD. YITB, Erik of Denver, Field Rep '57-'60

Rob Specht, Treasurer
C/O Tau Kappa Epsilon
206 N. Plum
Vermillion, SD 57069

Our House phone is (605) 624-9155, my cell # is (605) 940-0158

We have our original Charter that is partially burned from the first fire, which incidentally Alpha Xi Delta tried to steal other night, unsuccessfully of course. We also have a few other smaller items, like one of the horseshoes, but nothing else of any significance. Thanks for all your help,

YITB
