Arya-What bout any movie with Dolf Lundgroen (sp?, the he-man guy), Michael Dukakif (sp?), Steven Segal (sp?) and those other macho b type actors> Have you seen the program-Movies for men who like to watch movies...or something like that.
Terminator, Predator, The Rocky series they would all kind of go together.

Newer with potential, hmmm I can honestly see Something About Mary if only for that scene---YOU KNOW THE SCENE I'M TALKING ABOUT!
Drew Barrymore-Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed these may be the future Sixteen Candles or Pretty In Pink type movie.

Then, those who like to alter their minds prior to viewing may one day consider Dumb and Dumber a cult classic!

Sometimes things just pop into your head.
I sure hope some of y'all can really reach back for this. I don't know why it isn't cult status...it has all the ingrediants.

THE GROOVE TUBE

Idle minds...

I love
*"Wet, Hot, American Summer"
*"Best In Show"
*"Run, Lola, Run"
*"The Fifth Element"
*"The Hobbit" - the animated version

That's all I can think of right now....

Ok, as for "b" movies, I am not the person to ask. But I can totally list my fave cult films

Rocky Horror
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
I froget what this last one is called but it's about Barberella saving the earth in thigh high boots....

I love Wet Hot American Summer and Office Space, as well as all the JH films, but I think they are jsut good moves, rather than cult classics.

Oh my gawd, that movie was hilarious, wasn't it???
I can't help but laugh, thinking about a dog being traumatized by his owners trying "the congress of the cow." And that blonde actress-the one who owned the standard poodle & was married to the old guy-she should be on the "celebs you think are fugly" thread. She is just unfortunate looking.

I don't what qualifies exactly as B or cult, but I like:
  • Donnie Darko
  • Lathe of Heaven
  • Trainspotting
  • A Clockwork Orange
  • Brainscan
  • Jesus' Son
  • Hackers
  • Natural Born Killers
  • Slam
most of you said the same ones though, it seems, but Jesus' Son, based on the collection of short stories by Denis Johnson, is another great one that you guys should check out...it's really funny. Brainscan is an older sci-fi/horror film that came out around the same time as hackers i'd say and it's about interactive gaming so it's similar in some respects to hackers regarding the power of the compter...one we can all appreciate!
