I wish I could help you, but you've already answered your own questions as to why you don't exercise.
I actually hate telling anyone how to exercise or what I do when asked because they aren't me. I cannot tell anyone why I exercise or what my motivation is. That's an entirely personal issue. Sure, everyone's canned, preformulated answer is to lose weight/tone/etc. But, if appearance is the only reason, you usually fail.
Look deeper into why you dislike exercise so much. I don't even like to think about the time when I used to hate it, because it's so painful.
I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to go to the gym and exercise...for the short time I belonged to a gym, everyone and I mean everyone there was so perfect-looking (not to mention stuck up) I stayed home rather than go. Also it's a pain in the ass to go there, lug your stuff etc.
ZetaLuvBunny - try things like going to the mall, not to shop, but to walk. No one will notice if you walk around a couple times. Try dog-walking at a local animal shelter. Walk on campus - don't drive or ride. There are forms of yoga you can do at home w/ tapes that are different than the "straight" yoga your mom probably taught - this will get you in touch with your body. The point is just to DO SOMETHING! There are lots of other forms of exercise other than the gym and jogging. If that is all you've been thinking that 'exercise' is I don't blame you for hating it.
