Question any sorority seniors about to go through their last rush week?

I'm going back to school in about a week for two days of rush workshops and then formal recruitment week. I joined the sorority as a freshman and now I'm a senior, so this will be my last rush! It's kind of bittersweet, and I'm sure pref night will be a tearjerker for my class.

Any other seniors gearing up for their last rush?

Thumbs up

Same here. I'm Rho Chi-ing it, which is actually a relief for me! I don't have to decorate for ANYTHING except the Super Bowl kick-off party Panhel is hosting.

Good luck to all of you girls with spring/winter recruitment. I wish my school would do even an informal spring recruitment (my chapter doesn't even do it bc. we're always too close to total), so that I could have one more experience with recruitment before I graduate this June. :-(

But anyways, I know how you will feel twinstars! I cried during the first preference party of formal fall recruitment and took a lot of the seniors with me... there's this one song we sing that just sets it off every year and it was sad this year because 2 of our soloists were sick and the song wasn't the same without them... so we only did it once... it was really sad. I hope your last recruitment as a collegian is amazing!

Carol

This will be my first and last recruitment on the other side, because I'm transferring to a Gamma Phi-less school.

This is my last time through recruitment. We have the final rush parties the 9th throught the 12th and bid night being the 13th. I am working behind the scenes this year, but it will still be a sad time for me. I am a member of the colony class that started in the spring semester of 2000. My senior class is the last of the colony class so it is pretty sad for us, but then again, it is amazing to see how much we accomplished. I am glad that I will still be in Bloomington for a few more years to keep an eye on my wonderful chapter!

I went through my last rush as an active back in August, and it was so weird. I always thought it would be really sad for me and I'd cry my eyes out a lot, but I didn't...Pref was the only day that my eyes got a little misty (but that's because our Pref this year was absolutely wonderful!). I pledged during my chapter's very first formal rush after recolonization, and it's so strange to look back and see how the group has grown and changed. I still feel like a little kid, but to our newest members, I'm OLD because I remember the days when we were still a colony!

This will be my last recuritment as well when we have formal in Feb. As past pres. I'm almost looking forward to not having to talk in front of everyone and then again I'll miss it.

Panhel has each sorority being a different US city and we're Dallas!! Yippies!! Def. excited for that.

Hey - this is my last recruitment coming up in about a month. I pledged in the spring so spring recruitment always makes me feel old and anyways its so less stressful. I was just Vice President of Recruitment for a year so I think I'm going to have a harder time keeping opinions to myself and just letting the new phenomenal VPR run things her own way. I'm SLIGHTLY outspoken
