Don't go to this Canadian hopsital to give birth. They left the room while she was giving birth. The baby feel on the floor because no one was there to catch it.

That's actually pretty funny. Down here if that were to happen the wrath of the community would be unimaginable.

Woodson fined for helmet-led hit on Seattle receiver

NEW YORK -- Dallas Cowboys safety Darren Woodson has been fined $75,000, or one-tenth of his 2002 base salary, for his helmet-led hit on Seahawks wide receiver Darrell Jackson during last Sunday's loss to Seattle.
The fine was confirmed Wednesday by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who is attending the two-day league meeting in New York, and also by a league official
Woodson, an 11-year veteran, was not suspended. Appearing on the Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio on Wednesday afternoon, Woodson said the fine was out of line.
"It's a big number, a substantial number," Jones said, "but at least there's no suspension with it."
Woodson, 33, was previously fined $7,500 for a hit on Arizona quarterback Jake Plummer in an Oct. 20 game. There have been suggestions that Woodson also was fined for an incident earlier in the 2002 season, but those suspicions have not been confirmed.
It was not known if Woodson would appeal, or had already appealed, his latest fine.
On the play in question, Woodson led with his helmet as Jackson attempted to make a catch, but did not make contact with Jackson's helmet. Woodson instead struck him in the shoulder and was flagged for unnecessary roughness against a player in a defenseless position, a 15-yard penalty.
Jackson sustained a concussion on the play. Later, in the locker room, he had a seizure that is believed related to the concussion. Although he was released from Baylor Medical Center in Dallas on Monday, Jackson continues to undergo tests and is unlikely to play this weekend against the Redskins.
A five-time Pro Bowl performer, Woodson has never been considered a dirty player, although he is noted as a very physical hitter. He established a new franchise record for total tackles in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Seahawks.
The issue of overly aggressive hitting was addressed by team owners Wednesday.
"We're not going to tolerate hits that go over the line," commissioner Paul Tagliabue said, "especially for players who have been fined or warned on other occasions."

This is what I really don't like about the NFL and the way things have been going lately. Fines for hitting too hard? I thought that was part of the game? If you can't take the hits maybe you shouldn't be playing?

Well, I thought myself that that was a vicious hit. I do agree that it's football, and that hitting is part of the game. But in an era where the players are bigger and stronger and faster than they have ever been, and where players constantly have to use harsh intimidation to scare opponents, and where a lot of players go for the player not the ball, the hits are getting more vicious and more dangerous, and it might take a serious injury before players realize they might be playing a little too rough.

Iran detains Bin Laden's son
Iran Detains Bin Laden's Son
LONDON (Nov. 3) - Iranian security forces have detained one of Osama bin Laden's sons among several hundred people suspected of links to the al-Qaida terror network, the Financial Times reported on its Web site.
Citing an unidentified Iranian official, the newspaper said Saturday that Iran had handed bin Laden's son over to authorities in either Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. The paper, which does not appear on Sundays, planned to publish the story in its Monday edition, said spokesman Gregory Roth.
Bin Laden has at least 23 children by several wives.
The newspaper's report could not be verified independently.
In Iran, vice-president Mohammad Ali Abtahi told The Associated Press early Sunday that he was aware of the report, but ``wouldn't confirm it unless credible information is available.''
Leading lawmaker Ali Shakouri-Rad, a close ally of President Mohammad Khatami, said he had no information on the reported capture. He added that it would be in Iran's interests to announce the capture if it were true, since it is trying to erase any suspicions it has ties to al-Qaida.
In Washington, State Department spokeswoman Anne Marks said, ``We are aware of the report and are looking into it.''
One of bin Laden's oldest children, Saad bin Laden, who is about 22, has emerged as an al-Qaida leader and one of America's top two dozen targets in the network. Mohammed and Ahmed bin Laden also support their father's efforts, U.S. officials say.
The official quoted by the Financial Times did not identify the son he said was detained. He reportedly said the man was captured with a group of people suspected of having links to al-Qaida as they fled Afghanistan.
The paper quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi as saying the group numbered about 250 and that all the suspects had been returned to their home countries. He did not identify any of them.
In August, Saudi Arabia said Iran had extradited 16 al-Qaida suspects to the Gulf kingdom. Iran's Foreign Minister, Kamal Kharrazi, said the following month that Iran would continue its crackdown on al-Qaida, arresting and deporting suspects.
The anonymous official was also quoted by the newspaper as saying he believed bin Laden was dead. U.S. officials have repeatedly said they do not know if the alleged architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on America is dead or alive.
