IFC Help

I'm not sure if this is the right Thread this should be under.

However, what can a campus IFC do when it comes to holding organizations accountable?

There are issues going on right now and some of the fraternity leaders/organizations on campus have said that IFC has no power to do any to hold individual chapter accountable to anything they do. I'm not too familiar with how IFC runs.

On the majority of campuses, IFC is just a general head that opens discussions between the groups to share information (when is a group holding a philanthropy, planning recruitment, etc.). IFC only has power if an organization breaks a rule in an IFC bylaw. For example, handing out bids a day early (if the organizations hand them out individually instead of IFC).

If a group is hazing or breaking a rule that follows under campus "student or organizational conduct", that is for the university/college to handle. IFC has no say.
