Arrest made in murder of Tara Baker.

She was an Alpha Delta Pi at Georgia College in Milledgeville and went to UGA law and was murdered right before her birthday in January 2001. The Classic City Crime podcast did a great series on this. I was sure it was sure it was the young lawyer, but they may have been in the same circles.

In the linked article, there's a picture of the ADPi letters within a diamond shape on her gravestone. I think that's an interesting idea. Is that a thing in the South?

I sort of remember seeing this case somewhere else, although I thought she lived alone in an apartment versus in a house with roommates. Maybe I'm getting her case confused with another. Unfortunately there are so many of these cold cases.

Wow! This is huge news! I remember when this happened. I was a senior. Had some chapter sisters that lived in the same neighborhood. I'm so glad her family can finally get some justice.

There was another similar case of Lauren Giddings in 2011, who was a law student at Mercer University in Macon, GA. She lived in an apartment complex and her murderer was a creepy classmate who lived in the same building.

Yes! That's the one I was thinking of. See what I mean? Too many of these kinds of cases.

Apparently it was open-season on female law school students in Georgia for a while there.
