Well yes...that partly...but I wonder if teenagers today look at pictures of teenagers from the 1980s and think OMG THEY LOOK SOOOOOOOOO OLD.

I've heard it on this site before. With the stuffy suits (and shoulder pads of course!) instead of fun dresses we looked like we were off to a staff meeting, not a fun evening in college with sisters. And the spackled on makeup did NOT help us look young and fun.

I frequently look at my mom's pics from college and think of how old she and her friends looked.

Lots of SERIOUS looking big sweaters and jeans with crazy heavy makeup.

We had a PNM use a picture for every house that had her with her arm around her horse's head. So two heads in the picture. Comparing notes later, every house nick-named her something. She did pledge I hear, but the horse-y picture became something she had to overcome.

I would have loved seeing she was a rider, personally. But I have a feeling it would inspire a nickname or two on my campus as well.
