Mizzou recruitment 2021
Does anyone have results for Mizzou recruitment? Bid day was August 21.
Thanks!

Smaller numbers than recent years?

Their numbers have been off for a few years....not shown the increases other SEC schools have. Some have posted the racial situation in the state may have lowered enrollment...

I know Mizzou has been in the SEC for a while, (thought it was an odd choice)but I just don't think of them or TAMU as SEC-Arkansas is a better fit to typical SEC schools.

My daughter went through recruitment that record year - where their numbers were second only to Alabama. (It was one of the worst weeks of my life!).
I do agree that the racial situation did really affect overall enrollment numbers at Mizzou - so it makes sense that recruitment would follow suit. I do think those overall enrollment numbers have started to rebound - but not sure how much affect COVID has had on numbers, all around.

I have always said that Mizzou seems more like a Big Ten school than an SEC. I feel like they would fit in better there.

Mizzou is an interesting mix of midwest and southern "culture". In part depends upon where the student are pulling from. Southern MO - the boot heel area - is definitely more southern.
They also pull a lot of kids from Chicago area - in conjunction with STL and KC.
And then get a lot of out of staters (like my daughter) for their Journalism school.

I agree about Mizzou and the Big Ten overall. But Greektown would make any SEC school proud.
