Smile Recruitment in other schools..

I understand how recruitment is set up here at UF..how is it done at other schools? I briefly watched "Sorority life" on mtv..and it was completely different then our format. I'm just curious...

Hi SigKFab,

At my school ( a small liberal arts college in the Northeast) there are 6 days of rush. Day 1, meet the Rho Chis, where the rushees meet their rho chis. There are no sisters present, just the rushees and the rho chis. Day 2, is house tours where the rushees go to each house and the sisters give a tour. Day 3 is theme night and each house picks a theme and decorates the house in that theme. Day 4 is skit night and the rushees go to a maximum of 3 skits out of four houses on campus. Day 5 is pref night and the rushees go to a maximum of two houses. Day six is bid day.

Hope this helps.

SigKFab,

You have to remember that the sorority on Sorority Life is not an NPC sorority, therefore they aren't required to run their recruitment under NPC rules. They recruit independently in whatever way they wish. Generally, where NPC sororities are concerned, recruitment will be run the way you are used to at your school, some may just be on a smaller scale.
