If you sign the agreement and do not receive a bid, you would be eligible.
And if you don't sign it at all, you might get a snap bid but you can turn it down and still go thru colony recruitment. They would phone you after bid matching and offer it if there is one. If you turn it down it has no impact on your abililty to go thru colony recruitment - ONLY if you sign the bid card and match to one of THOSE groups only.

Okay, thank you everyone for your responses! I think I'm going to go through recruitment as you all suggested and see how that goes. If I don't feel like I've found my home, I'll seek out the colony recruitment.

I really appreciate all of your help! <3

If you sign the bid card and receive a bid, you would be ineligible to pursue membership with another NPC for a year. If you attend the pref parties ( the final parties before bid day), but don't sign the MRABA, you would be eligible to pursue membership in the AOII colony or any chapter that had a spot to fill.

Good luck. If you have any other questions, please come back and ask. Best wishes to you for finding your home!

Please let us know how it goes! AOPi is a wonderful sorority, but you may find your home before colony recruitment. I did informal as a jr transfer. I rushed AOPi and AXiD, but felt more at home with the Xis. However, AOPi is fabulous and have many friends from there.

Hi everyone!

Just to update you all, on September 5th, I accepted a bid to the Delta Xi Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta! I'm so excited to be a part of an amazing chapter. I have a cousin who is an Alpha Gam alumna, so she's very happy for me as well!

Thanks so much for all the advice! <3

And bonus points for using the correct term "alumna."
