Two chapters are colonizing this fall and one, for lack of a better term is "special interest." Some girls interested in these chapters may well have not bothered registering or going through the process. The change in numbers doesn't sound surprising to me at all. Plus there has to be ebb and flow occasionally. It can't ALWAYS go up.

What is the special interest group that is colonizing? AEPhi colonized at A&M 2 years ago. Is there another group coming?
It is surprising for the Panhellenic as the girls were told to prepare for 100 in the pledge class. You are right. It seems to be leveling off at A&M this year.

The information I have says they are colonizing in September of this year. Maybe a second shot at it?

From what I understand AEPhi has a colony for a long time. Their newly re-installed chapter at Univ of Washington was a colony for close to 3 years.

I think AEPhi is a colony but the girls have been initiated. Maybe they will be officially a full fledged chapter in September.
It is also my understanding that 300 girls dropped or were released during this week at A&M.

I am actually surprised that the number of girls going thru at A&M was down by 200 as the freshman class is the largest ever at close to 12k. The chapters are looking forward to AOPi joining and have set up a panhellenic group of girls (2 reps frome each house) to help them transition to the campus.

UAB quota was 37. From a chapter advisor all chapters made quota, including the newest chapter, Sigma Kappa! Proud of these ladies in their first formal recruitment!
