Follow the money; once you see where Obama's donations are going (aside from his list of Universities), you can narrow it down fairly quickly. Of course, finding out who his trust is paying out to will be the real issue. You can bet the college she has picked will be receiving some "stipend" of sorts.

I was thinking, if Barack Obama hadn't even run for Senate, let alone President, Malia would still likely be interested in top-ranked schools. She's a triple legacy at Harvard, and a parental legacy at Columbia and Princeton. Her parents were affiliated with the University of Chicago as faculty and staff for some time as well.

Political rumor mill in DC has it down to Stanford or Harvard, with most people (including people with kids at Sidwell) saying Harvard.

I haven't heard anything! I figured with May 1 coming up we'd find out soon.

Pretty sure the kids at my undergrad screwed the pooch...

When the Obama's were in Los Angeles two weeks ago, they stayed at the W hotel right next to UCLA campus. The big rumor is that she took a tour of UCLA while she was so close. And UCLA does have a good film school...

Yep, and she's taking a gap year so it won't happen until 2017. That means she won't have to take secret service to her campus.

Nice! She's a triple legacy at Harvard. I wonder what her gap year is going to entail. Travel? Community Service?

Yes, she will. Former Presidents and their families receive Secret Service protection for 10 years after leaving office. It used to be lifetime but Congress changed the law about 3/4 (?) years ago.

She moved in during the eclipse so people would be focused elsewhere.
