Too old to rush? UofA or UCLA?

I will be transferring to either the University of Arizona or UCLA for he fall of 2015 and I will be turning 22 years old this May. Will that be too old to join a frat? Also if my brother was a Pike at New Mexico State does that mean anything or does that effect my chances of being a pike and Arizona or UCLA?

thanks

Well they're always be people that are ageist, from my personal knowledge of UCLA (sorority advisor there), being 22 wouldn't be an issue with many of the fraternities. It's more about the person.
But, you'll be in a new member with the majority of 18-year-olds, so you'll be the mature one in the group.
