work advice needed

Hey guys..

I need some advice..as some of you know, i pretty much loathe my job more than anything i have ever hated before..In 3 1/2 weeks i will be moving, however, while i am planning on giving my boss 2 weeks notice..i was not planning on giving my notice until august 1st and have my last day be the 15th(payday)..this idea makes the most sense financially and in means of getting my check..
well..i'm finding that I really just can't take it anymore..i really am at my wits end..i am getting sick of being bitched at when there isn't any coffee or if the coffee beans are not ground well enough(if i wanted to make coffee all day and grind coffee beans i would have worked at starbucks and probably been a hell of a lot happier) ..and then also getting bitched at for failing to mention to the entire office that i am going to the bathroom (cuz heaven forbid someone should just assume to pickup the phone if i haven't done so by the 3rd ring) ..i hate my coworkers..i hate the job, there are no redeeming qualities..anyway..back the advice ..
what i'm debating is: should i just come in on monday and give my boss my notice and while I sacrifice a couple hundred dollars for my move, but save my sanity and also allows me to move a few days earlier than scheduled which eleviates a lot of other personal stress, or should i suck it up wait until the 1st to give my notice(which is next thursday) and go with my original plan

sorry..this has turned into more of a rant then i had intended..but any advice would really be greatly appreciated..

-Kate

Kate-
Give your notice now. The little bit of $$ you'll lose is worth it for the sanity you'll have.

go -- but professinally.

Kate,

I completely know how you feel. I had a job I DESPISED for over six months and I swear, it sounds like we worked at the same place. I wanted to just walk out the door and never come back on so many occassions I couldn't begin to count them.

So yeah, go. You're working with a deadline anyway. But give yourself some credit and do it professionally. You never know when these people will show up in your life again. Just tell them (on Monday) your plans changed and your last day will be Friday. End of story. Stick it out for a few more days and be proud of yourself for being the mature one. Trust me, you don't want to burn bridges so early in your career.

I would agree if this was a job she was proud of and would be happy to give as a reference to future employers. But I get the feeling this is a bridge that might be worth burning. Employers who give no respect deserve precious little in return. Sanity is way more important that a job you hate and a job where you are treated horribly. I have had those jobs. Those jobs are what made me decide to go back to school so that I won't ever have to have another job where I get fired because the paper towel wasn't put away in a timely manner. This job sounds absolutely horrendous. Unless it will land you on the streets financially, get out of there with whatever sanity they have left you with. No job is worth that. Especially not one you are intending to leave regardless. Take the extra 2 weeks and enjoy it!

Thanks for the advice everyone..I think I need to clear up tho is that technically there isn't really any bad blood, they don't know exactly how miserable I am (i'm pretty good at faking it for the most part) and so I am going to use them as a reference, just because they are my first job out of college..and again, they like me, i've been a good employee, and they don't know how miserable I am..What i've decided to do is see how i feel on monday..if i get really irked, i'm going to give my notice on monday, if not i'm going to wait until tuesday or wednesday..after sitting down and figuring out my finances though, there unfortunately is no possible way for me to go w/out that paycheck tho..so, unless it gets to be so unbearable i am going to stick it out..

Again, thanks everyone, I really do appreciate it!
