Hi! I'm an alumna of Beta Lambda, and here's some events we did:
Be a Kid Again. It was a combination of all the fun games you'd do as a kid.
Zumba. It got everyone dancing and having a good time. There were experts and people who weren't, but it was a supportive event.
Progressive Dinner. We had different courses for a dinner in different rooms of the music building.
Instrument Playground/Open Choir. Before our weekly choir meeting, sisters who were instrumentalists brought their instruments so that sisters and guests could have fun with playing an instrument which was not their own, and then the guests were welcome to attend our choir rehearsal.
As for bringing girls in from different areas of campus, Beta Lambda, when I graduated, probably had about a 50/50 split between music majors and non-music majors. What helps the most is having sisters who are also not music majors to encourage girls in their disciplines and related ones to join, because they see that there are people like them in the sisterhood.
I hope this helps you as you begin your first recruitment season! Congratulations on your recent installation!
