Twila Paris' Mid Winter.

Background:
Three years ago, as and my mother had died the year before, my brother was being a pain, Jim's family invited me to spend Christmas with them, and I jumped at the chance. I drove on Christmas Eve to Chicago, for the very first time. We (Buffy the Bichon Frise and me) hit two separate blizzards, and it took over 14 hours to get there, arriving at 4am. I must have played this cd about 10 times on the way, and it will forever bring peace to my soul. I puddle up to this day, remembering the wild combination of emotions going through me, and the adorable look on Buffy's face after taking some doggie downers!

What's your favorite TRADITIONAL Christmas Song?

Midnight-ish.

In keeping with current household "discussions", what's your favorite Christmas (Holiday) cookie?

(I still say that Chocolate Chip Cookies are NOT Christmas Cookies, they are cookies that supplement the Christmas Cookie platter!)

The only Christmas cookies I care at all about are the sugar cookies I used to make. Here's the catch: they're the standard sugar cookies recipe from the Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook, but not the most recent publication. I got mine in about 1990 when I worked for the Meredith Corp. Due to a weird breakup with a guy friend (not a boyfriend) I ended up with his Diane Schuur CD and he ended up with my copy of BHG New Cooking. No big loss, I can always buy a new one, right? Who knew they update 100 year old recipes? Some things should never change.

What's your favorite modern Christmas song?

My American Girl Doll Molly. I'm super sad that they've announced that they're retiring her. I loved her because she looked like me, with brown hair, bangs, and brown eyes.

My clothes are in three different zip codes, so this is a hard question. I suppose it's a pink floral blazer that will dress up almost anything.

OTHER THAN YOUR PIN, what is your favorite piece of jewelry?
