^^^continuing the swerve/

Arizona has a significant # of CA students (I can't speak for ASU, haven't done any research) due to the steep cost of attending an in-state university or college (either the UC system or the CSU system). It's closer to home for these students, as well.

/end swerve

Continuing the swerve: similar to University of California at Eugene? Aka University of Oregon? Two years ago 20% of our student body was from California. I'm struggling to find more recent numbers, but I know they haven't gone down. Almost half our freshman class 2012 class was from out of state at 46%.

/end swerve.

The Hope Scholarship is keeping more and more of our Georgia students in state. My son went to a private school in Atlanta and each year UGA is the college that most of the kids elect to attend if they can get in. Bama does seem to attract some of the guys (five from my son's grade went there) but very few girls.

Not meaning to be political here but just to state a fact, ole' Zell Miller really came up with a gem when he got that started. I don't think he would have been reelected Governor in the GOP wave year 94' if he hadn't had that silver bullet.

Small swerve again. Am I the only one who saw the princess in the Alabama pictures.? On the www.al.com website there is a link to Alabama bid day pictures. In one of the pictures, an apparent new member is walking with two other girls out of the stadium towards the houses. The girl on the left has on a pink dress, white sash with the "PRINCESS". I hope she didn't wear her sash to the recruitment parties!

If you would like to see the picture, it is in the group called "The running of the bids", picture 66 of 156. I couldn't get the picture to post.

It's probably something her new big/bid day buddy gave her. ZTA, maybe? The bid day photos are just beginning to pop up, so maybe we'll find out soon.

I see. Since they're wearing dresses, they are probably members, not PNMs. The PNMs wear tank tops so that they can put their new T shirts on top.

I just found out that the daughter of one of my chapter sisters went DZ at Alabama! Not too shabby for a Pennsylvania girl

a rumor was going around on an anonymous forum that Chi O accidentally dropped their top 200 girls instead of their bottom 200... any truth to this claim? How would people know?

Trying to tread lightly, ms-wise, but isn't that impossible from a computer basis?

Didn't we have this discussion earlier in the week that it happened at another school and a different sorority but again, the top 200 were dropped instead of the bottom?

Anonymous forum? You mean the tent talk/gossip chain?
