So every sorority on my campus can pretty much go by some kind of nickname like that, except for Sigma Kappa and Phi Mu. They just go by their names, which I didn't like. I wanted a cute nickname damnit! But luckily, I got over that weird thing and look at me now, proud to be a Phi Mu! Funny how those things work out.
It still kind of bothers me that Sigma Kappa doesn't really have a strong nickname. I never did take to the Snakey K thing...sigh...I guess Sigma Kappa it is!

I dropped ZTA and ChiO because I thought that there were to many blonds. DZ wasn't for me, I really didn't like the way their house was decorated for Philanthropy Day.

A girl from my church said she's always wanted to be a Delta, but now she's pursuing AKA b/c she thinks the Deltas on her campus are ugly. She's legacy for AKA, so her mother's happy she changed her mind, but rest of us are just kind of like...

Just so you all know... before I read this site, I had never heard of "snakey K's" We call Sigma Kappa "Sigmas" but we don't have anyone else on campus with Sigma in their name. Phi Mu... well we don't have a nick name at all.

I had some dumb reasons.

I cut Alpha Phi because I didn't like their suite (they redecorated the next year and now it's gorgeous!) and I didn't like one girl I talked to.

I cut ZTA because "they all looked like teachers." (Yea, I don't know )

I didn't like DG because one girl asked me where I summered, and I didn't understand the question. My response: "Dayton, OH."

I cut one house because the girl talking to me had THE YELLOWEST TEETH that I have ever seen in my life. I feel bad, but seriously they were like yellow from the crayon box. They made me uncomfortable and I couldn't stop staring at them. She was smiling nonstop and kept leaning forward. Oh my goodnes, I fled from that house.
LOL!

Once upon a time I summered in Cape Cod.

Sadly those days are gone

My sister who is a DG was an advisor for a DG chapter at Wittenburg College in Ohio and the greek advisor there kept saying "the snakes this and the snakes that." My sister asked, what the hell are "the snakes," and the advisor told her it was Sigma Kappa. How funny! They don't go by Sig Kap or Sigma K, just "the snakes!" If there is anyone on here from that chapter correct me if I am wrong, but that was just last year!
