Carnation, there is a "Cebu" store in Peachtree City where the Phi Mu HQ is. I think that is is Jamacian or some island? They had some cute "island-ish" stuff.
I had never heard of the word before, lol.

Cebu is a province in the Philippines. I have a few relatives who still live there.
Really, really, beautiful, IMO.

Cebu is where our 4th daughter is from!
ETA: I have just spent the last hour with one of our daughters, trying to get that crest picture onto Photobucket--she has an account. Somehow, we're going to get that sucker on here.

Photobucket's cool, but if you have a free account, depending on how many times the photo is being viewed, you might get a crummy "Bandwidth exceeded" graphic. I eventually gave in and paid for an account.
If it's just one photo you want to upload online, tinypic.com is good. It's part of the Photobucket company, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes there are people online who are truly that pathetic that they would try and tank the recruitment for someone's child they have never met simply because they dislike that person.
Sad but true.
Carnation,
Congratulations to your latest addition to the very Panhellenic household you are running. Between cousins, daughters, nieces, you might even be able to start your own local panhellenic.

I can't imagine anyone sabotaging Carnation; she doesn't give people reasons to dislike her!

I can see it listed on the NPC website under Alumnae Panhellenics: "Carnation Nation"

Hello and Congrats to the CARNATION NATION!
Ok, I have come out from the hills (or so it seems) to check the Recruitment threads. LOL, so glad to start another recruitment thread reading time to see Carnation has another daughter happily pledged! CONGRATS!! I hope she enjoys her new journey.
(Hi there to all the GCers, by the way, long time no chat!)

Okay. This digital camera is making me crazy. Anybody who wants to see the 4 crests, please pm me your email address; I'm pretty sure I can email the shot anyway.

I would like to announce that we now have a second pink star on our Carnation Nation flag! Our new daughter-in-law is a Phi Mu!
ETA: I should say 4th pink star, my husband's 2 cousins are Phi Mus too!

At some point, Carnation, you have GOT to contact the Guinness Book of World Records! Congratulations to Tall Son!

Glad this got bumped, I never read this story. Congratulations on your son's engagement and I agree you should contact the Guiness Book of World Records.
