CPC Associate Membership?

Just a quick poll.... Does your Campus Panhellenic Council have an associate level of affiliation? Of so, how does it differ from a full membership?

Mine does. I believe that associate members cannot serve as president or vote in matters concerning expansion.

That makes perfect sense, Glittergal. Do associate members participate in recruitment? Can they serve in other leadership roles? Do they participate in all other Greek Life events on your campus? Do they pay the same dues as full members or a lesser amount?

My suggestion would be to talk to your campus Greek Life. They will be able to answer your questions much better than we can.

I don't think she's asking how to get it, more like surveying if this exists.

At my alma mater, the associate members did not vote or hold elected leadership positions. They participated in the first round of recruitment, though, just to give out information.

I know this is possible at my alma mater, but they told me that in the 50+ years of the CPC existing they have never had an organization successfully join at this level.

Several of our chapters are part of their CPCs. I know most participate in recruitment, but I'm not sure if they are allowed to be officers - some allow us to have a "panhellenic delegate"
