I'm big on songs and chants, this was written by the Russel D. Miller of the Epsilon chapter. I found it in the Songs of Tau Kappa Epsilon published circa 1961:

I'd venture to say that every chapter has variations on the same we have our own version of yo ho in fact I'd venture to say that most fraternities in general have variations on these in fact I know a few Pike chapter that do the "born in the (whatever you like)" chant, in my chapters case it's the backwoods and raised in a cave but whatever.

Most of these seem to be based largely on the chapters local rivals for instance
one of our toasts

I would be lying to say that i had not sang half of these chants, but is there one of you gentleman that are a bit tired of us being portrayed as drunken rapists? TKE means more to me than most things in my life, is there any chant that i can be proud of?

You make an interesting point here. I was initiated at a very large chapter where we never had any of these chants. It wasn't until I started visiting some of the other chapters that I began hearing all of these. I was embarrassed by most of them, because they don't at all portray what TKE means to me. It's no wonder that so many of our chapters have bad reputations with girls on their campuses. I'll take the old time TKE songs that we rarely hear any more any day of the week over the ignorant chants about getting drunk and degrading women.
