University of Miami Bid Day was today. I don't know other chapter numbers, but Delta Phi Epsilon got 63 new members. Quota was 57 and 4 chapters didn't make quota, but I don't know who.

I'm home from helping at MRABA signing at Rockhurst. There were some SIPs, but not too many. The one question I got was does where she lands on each list affect the outcome. I explained that the "mutual selection process" is more weighted in her favor after preference, so presuming a quota of 30, if she is #30 on her first choice and #1 on her second choice, she gets her first choice.
Then I had one girl who spent a lot of time contemplating her choices. I'm proud of this young lady! The choice she was contemplating was to SIP or not to SIP. She finally decided that if she was that undecided, she should list both. I walked her through what to do tomorrow if she doesn't get her first choice (put a smile on your face, even if you have to fake it, go and make the best of it. You have some time to re-assess) and she seemed to understand. I think she's prepared to make the most of it.
I really wanted to hang out until the actual bid-matching happens, but that was gonna be after midnight. And this chick has to work in the morning, so not so much. I hope to at least beg my way into getting the results. I have some ideas of how it's gonna go, but who knows? Only time will tell.

Then I would say the might need to soften their pencils with the RFM requirements. It should be an oddity, not this common, to get dropped completely. Sorry to those girls!

Some of this might be due to ISPs. The PNM single preffed one of the four chapters which made quota, while also attending preference at one of the chapters which did not make quota. All it takes is a handful of ISPs to create this situation. Then we also could have had two chapters who crossed recruited a lot and one kept getting the upper hand in PNM ranks leaving the other below quota.

My comment was in response to numbers at Miami. Dubaisis was referring to W&L.
