That always makes me sad, too. I get that strategy, and I completely see why contestants do it, but I still always hate to see it happen.

I didn't think so, either. I was pleasantly surprised by him this season - he did a good job! His gameplay has been interesting to watch.
I enjoyed watching the way he handled the scramble last night. I was worried that he had convinced Lisa & Skupin to turn to the Dark Side. Had Penner teamed up with anyone but Abi, I think Lisa might have switched.

I know, right? I'm sure we'll see her again in Survivor: Returning Wackos.

I wouldn't miss an episode of that! We could have Johnny Fairplay, Richard Hatch, Susan Hawk, Coach, and some of the other odd ducks that have been on the show.
I really think it's going to be hard for them to top Heroes vs. Villains, though. That season was by far the best IMO.

Please bring back Bruce (since he wasn't returned as he might have been for THIS season).

I know it was mentioned that Malcolm is a TDX. Pete is a Beta, sad to see him go.

Potential spoiler for those who consider previews spoilers...
During the 'Scenes from our next Survivor' bit:
Is there something about Malcolm that we (and his fellow Survivors) don't know yet? I was focused on who had just gotten voted out (as well as who DIDN'T leave), and wasn't paying much attention at that point. I seem to remember someone saying something that made Malcolm get a little squirmy. I think it came from Malcolm's loved one? Did anyone else catch that or am I way out in left field here? The producers have been pretty forthcoming (with the audience, at least) about Lisa's and Jeff's secret pasts - would they have been quiet about something similar in Malcolm's past on purpose?

^^^ I got the impression that Malcolm's brother runs his mouth a lot. Over at his Q&A at EW Online, Probst says "Ah the loved one visit . . . it yields big rewards for at least one Survivor and yes, Malcolm's brother is a charming treat — and a huge Survivor fan to boot!"
So my guess is either that he says something about the gameplay that Malcolm would prefer not get said, he lets everyone in on the fact that Malcolm is a bigger fan than they realized (wouldn't be that shocking, though) or that Malcolm tells him something (strategy? opinions of other survivors?) that he then blurts to everyone.
Now, watch it be none of those.

Malcolm has told some contestants he attends CSU-Stanislaus. His brother is probably so excited to see Malcolm he exclaims "see how far my brother who went to Dartmouth has gone in this game?!".

With numbers as they are, it seems a Final Two this Season.
In your opinion, which two should be Final Two?

I think they all want to take her to the end now.

Maybe they figure they deserve to win if they can get to the end with her without strangling her.
And I guess the stuff about Malcolm's brother was just misdirection.

Thoughts about last night's episode...
Abi the dementor - love it! Thanks, Malcolm!
Lisa might very well earn herself a place in the Returning Wackos season. I get that the game can be brutal on the players' emotions, but I was seriously concerned for Lisa's mental health last night. She's a mess.
I really hope Denise wins immunity next week. Otherwise, I suspect she'll be the next to go. If the tribe keeps Abi over Denise, I'll appreciate the strategery but I'll be really disappointed. This part of the gameplay always bums me out. (It didn't bother me so much this week, but that's probably because we didn't get a chance to meet Carter until Week 8 or something.)
Did I miss the part that was in last week's previews about Malcolm's brother sharing info? I don't remember seeing anything like that at all.

At this point I'm just rooting for Malcolm because he's hot and no one else has very many redeeming qualities. Except Skupin, but I'm not a fan of returning Survivors except in an All Stars season.

I read that her divorce became final days before she left for Survivor, so my guess is we're seeing her process all kinds of stuff in the context of the game. Kind of interesting, in a strange sort of way.
I still wouldn't put her in wacko category, though.

Nope. Apparently it was just that Malcolm was afraid he might spill something.
Thanks producers. (I need to go back to last week and see exactly how they worded that preview.)
