Anybody heard of Chi Delphia before?
I've been looking into starting a sorority at my campus and I stumbled accross a sorority that used to be called chi delphia.
I guess they used to be delta chi little sisters but when the little sister program got shut down some of the d chi boys helped their little sisters make chi delphia which later got changed to chi delta when they became greek. I have only been able to find chi delphia at the local level at sac state. I was wondering if there are anymore chi delta's or sororities that stem from the chi delphia girls.
Im a really good friend of a lot of the delta chi boys at my campus and they always joke with the AMs about how if i were a guy i'd be in d chi (u kno the saying..) well when i found chi delphia i thought i would look into it.
if anyone has more info please let me know.

Why don't you ask the ones you found at Sac State?

There used to be another chapter of Chi Delta at Sonoma State, but they affiliated with Alpha Delta Pi a few years ago. (I'm pretty sure it was the same org and not just a name coincidence.)
I agree with knight_shadow. Ask the Sac State chapter.

I know this post is a few years old, but I felt that I HAD to respond. Chi Delphia did become Chi Delta at Sac State. We are still established there and recruit every semester. Definitely worth a look into if you are still looking for a sorority. :-)
As far as Sonoma State, we expanded there in 2002, but the Beta chapter did not thrive, so they affiliated with ADPi in 2007.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear your Alpha chapter is doing well.

I wonder if Chi Delphia and by extension, Chi Delta has kept any sort of traditions from Delta Chi.

I couldn't say for sure, but since our chapter closed in 2002 and recolonized in 2009 it would be a different group of men, so maybe not.
Random fun fact: at one time Delta Chi colonies took the name Chi Delta until they were chartered and became Delta Chi.

We do have a few *small* things that relate back to Delta Chi, but nothing monumental. Unfortunately, these are details I cannot divulge. :-)
