Recs

When a pnm asks me for a rec I go to the Alpha Chi web site and print the official rec form. It's the same one we used when I was rec chairman. As you probably know it's pretty vanilla with mostly info that the sororities must already have. Question: Do you just fill out and send in the form, or do you write a letter about the girl and attach it with her resume and picture? As rec chairman I never saw a letter attached, always just the form. But for my daughter's best friend, for example, should I write a letter to accompany it?

I filled out the form, attached a picture and wrote a letter explaining why IMO she would be a wonderful addition. This was to my chapter but I would probably do the same thing to any chapter I wrote a rec to. I was able to find the the rush chairs name in the directory on the same site so I could address it directly to her.
