Omega Brother killed in freak accident.
Please pray for Bro. Walter Amos and his family. Bro. Amos (10 Pi Gamma '02 (Norfolk State)) died in a weather-related accident on his job at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Tuesday.
A Norfolk Naval Shipyard employee died after being pinned between two portable buildings during the storm Tuesday afternoon.
A portal crane was pushed by strong winds into one of the portable buildings, a news release from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard said.
Navy Region Mid-Atlantic fire and rescue responded.
The employee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shipyard is in the process of notifying the employee's family.
The accident is under investigation
