some Zeta things
Hi, Panhellenic sisters!
I'm a Pi Beta Phi, but my great-grandmother was a Zeta. My mother has been going through a lot of old boxes in our house and has found some pretty awesome things regarding my great-grandmother's membership in Zeta Tau Alpha, including her bid and other things like that. I haven't seen any of it, as I live 1300 miles away, so my mother, who is not a sorority woman, is doing her best to describe it to me and send me pictures.
My first inclination was to send it to her chapter. She was, however, an Alpha Delta (Butler University), and that chapter has gone inactive. I asked our CP what we would want if we had an alumna offering to send us a bid card from the early 1900s and she immediately said we would frame it. But if her chapter is inactive, who could I send it to?
I can appreciate these things, but not for long. I feel like there's got to be someone who can hold them in higher esteem than I could. Someone has to be able to give these mementos more respect than my almost-completely non-Greek family can.
Help please?
♥

Lane swerve...
I'd contact ZTA IO. I'm sure they'd love to have it in their Archives.

YES! Definitely get in touch with IO! That is so awesome that all those things made it through so many years! In fact in the last few issues of our magazine our Archives ladies have been mentioned. They are always REALLY interested in getting their hands on stuff like this Thank you for thinking of sending them

I will definitely post pictures. Nothing will be mailed or posted until March, because I live in CO and my mother in TX, so I won't be seeing any of the items until then and nothing is going anywhere until I go through it. Thanks x100000000000. ♥

Yes, please send them to IO. I was recently in Indianapolis and I went to IO and I had fun getting a tour and getting to see some of the items on display and the archives of ZTA!
