Sorority Exchange Ideas Please
Hi guys, I am, naturally, the social chair for my fraternity. I was wondering if you could please help me with a few exchange ideas.....except their are some limitations. No alcohol, nothing even remotely sexually suggestive or possibly being viewed as suggestive, nothing elitist...Im not quite sure what the word is but nothing like a "white trash" theme, and generally inexpensive. The first and only time I tried to plan a possibly sexual exchange, Rubik's cube, the sorority and I got into a lot of hot water. I've seen a few good ideas on the forum but I need more just incase sororities don't like ideas or even people in my chapter. I really appreciate your help, Thanks.

I must be getting old, because I have no idea what could be sexual about a Rubik's cube.

Well valentine's day is coming up, so what if you guys played poker with different kinds of candy instead of poker chips or had a chocolate fondue/movie night?

It's probably the trading clothing part.

This is really hard without knowing your campus or your culture. I can list some things we did, but they require that you be at a school in the middle of nowhere, such as outings to minor league sports teams, barn dances, the monster truck show, etc.
Or, if you want things at the house, casino night is a great idea (mentioned upthread), mocktail party, karaoke night, a softball game, a pub quiz or board game night...
Also, is there a local organization that could use a big group to do a service project for a day?

Just about anything nonsexual can be made sexual, and vice versa. So pretty much anything we give you can go wrong if possible.
Who is putting the restrictions on you? The sororities? Your HQs? The Greek life office? Why on earth would the last two be told what your themes are for a mixer, anyway?
Keep the photographers out (professional and members with cellphones) and honestly, you'll have a lot fewer problems.
The Rubik's Cube party sounds stupid, just because I wouldn't like to walk into any party knowing I might give away clothing and not get it back (even if it was all girl). I didn't have that kind of money to throw away in college, I doubt many other people do.

I don't know what your campus is like, but at mine (which has pretty strict rules), people get together and do things like bowling, ice skating, board games, mini-golf, laser tag, backyard bbq, and stuff like that. I know it might sound lame, but it's always a really good time.

Thanks for the help!
We have a huge campus and it's in a major city. It's not so much restrictions or rules the sororities face, it's just that some girls are very modest, and they are the most outspoken. I can have 30 girls gung-ho about an idea but the moment 1 girl finds fault, we have to change ideas. Also, kind of more problems... but despite being in a city the moment we have to leave campus, less girls will come out.

Well, maybe the one girl needs to pull the redwood tree out of her ass.
Anyway. Try something like a 1940s or 1950s theme. People wore lots and lots of clothes back then. Also any of the things that victoriana suggested.
