Insight wanted

Long story short, I've been interested in earning the right to be addressed as an Alpha man as early as 2008. I have my reasons for my choice as to all other orgs. just won't do.

My reason for posting is to gain more information on how to charter a chapter. My college does not have Alphas on it's campus. There are chapters located an hour and better away in all directions.

Question: Could/Should I find someone that would come to my college and take my group and I through the pledging process or would we definately have to travel?

Question: What is needed to charter a chapter?

Question: Should we make an interest group on campus?

Question: Should we cantact Nationals and direct their attention to us?

Please feel free to answer any and all questions asked and not asked. All feedback is wanted and greatly appreciated.

I look forword to your replies.

Thanks for the response. The information looks great and I will take my time reading it from top to bottom. What are your views about starting interest groups?

Further questions should be referred to the corporate headquarters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Contact an Alpha at a chapter nearest you and tell them what you've stated here.
