It was sooo stressful! I should have seen it coming, though. The Bruins have this innate ability to keep me on the brink of having a heart attack during nearly every game.

Our tv feed cut out just as the Bruins started celebrating! It's been raining so hard I'm surprised we didn't lose satellite earlier, actually. But still, yay Bruins!!

Love to see Original 6 teams battling for the Cup. I still wish it was the Wings doing it, but since it isn't... Go Bruins!

I told my brother that if the Bruins take it this year, I'd fly home (from TX) and we'd go to the victory parade together. I'm hoping they pull it off just so this can happen, as we don't see each other nearly enough anymore.
Go Bruins!

I have to root for the Blackhawks and all, but the fact of the matter is that I've never really forgiven them for the blackout. Of all the sports teams in Chicago, they are most definitely the one I care about the least. I mean, even the Cubs show up on my radar by how much I hate them, but the 'hawks? Meh.

I hate the Hawks solely because of the bandwagon fans. I grew up in the Chicago area and even from a young age, rooted for the Wings solely because of the number of fans who know NOTHING about hockey and then when the Hawks start winning are like ZOMG HAWKS GO KANER HAWKS WIN!!!!11!!!

Yeah, you're right about the bandwagon brigade. We've gone to Hawks games for years (sometimes, I miss Chicago Stadium). It is really annoying when my 5 year old knows more about the game than the adults sitting next to him. To quote Mikey, "Do these people know there's a game going on, or are they just here to drink and be stupid?" Awesome.

Yeah, but that's my point...for fans around my age, we effectively grew up without a team because they wouldn't televise the games.

Are you guys sure you didn't mean to say "Cubs" instead of "Hawks"? (especially the bolded).
Nah, I get what you mean, the Blackhawks have a big bandwagon following. In my opinion, Cubs "fans" are far worse, but the Hawks definitely have their share.
I will say that I admit that I am not a hockey follower...but it's been fun to see them do so well and make it to the finals. I'm homesick out in CO!!
As a lifelong, die-hard White Sox fan, I feel every Blackhawks fans' pain regarding bandwagoners. '05 was heavenly, but WOW, there sure are far less White Sox fans just a few years latter...
Anywho, hoping my hometown team pulls through

We're a house divided by sports, but we've reconciled to cheer on the others' teams EXCEPT when they're playing each other. With that, I say
Congratulations, Blackhawks!!

Alot of celebrating is going on here because of the Blackhawks- my quiet area is loud right now and alot of people are outside shooting off firecrackers & making all sorts of noise. You could not park because everyone is at the bars a few blocks away. There are times when I really enjoy living in a big city; this is one of them.
